Gyms Open in Phnom Penh?

Post by Doc67 »

Does anyone know if any have opened up on the sly?

I know many hotels have open pools and gyms for residents, does anyone know of guests being allowed in on a daily basis?

PM me if you know of somewhere and don't want to broadcast it.

As always, many thanks in advance.

Mate it's fucking killing me it's not alright. I viewed an apartment with a gym with the plan to move in but I can't afford it. I considered bribing the staff to let me in I might approach them.

If anyone sees this send me a PM Please!!!

I never had any trouble getting booze during the ban, but not even a sniff of the inside of a gym.

Just buy your own equipment guys. I've accumulated quite a bit over the past few months now, and it's gotten a o the point that I don't even need a gym and not sure I'll bother going back once they reopen.

I got two pairs of dumbells and a small bench. But it's not the same and much harder to get motivated.

It was the 2 mile walk there, the weights, a bit of treadmill and a swim in the pool. A couple of hours during the day that made this place so much better.

Given the current numbers and the governments hard-on for sports centres, I can't see them opening for a long while.

I totally agree, but as you said yourself, the government has a huge hard-on for gyms, probably due to not knowing what they're doing and lack of scientifically inclined advisors/policy makers. There's also no visible "game plan" as far as I can tell. Why can't people go to a gym if they're vaccinated? What if gym staff are also vaccinated? No outline as to what would actually be required to allow such businesses to reopen. Totally up to another random midnight decree as far as I can tell.

I saw the writing on the wall early on in this latest "outbreak" and started accumulating stuff before the lockdown. Glad I did as I was doing normal workouts from the confort of my home vs sitting all day. Like you say, doesn't look like they'll be allowed to open anytime soon, so it's either wait for xx more days/weeks/months or purchase more goods.
