Good for you Roz for going public, many/most feel stupid and ashamed and will not.rozzieoz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 1:17 pmIf you’d like to get together for a coffee I’m always available.jjy wrote:Still alive thanks. Just been with lawyers who are now on the case. I would urge anyone who has any grievances with Gregory Michael Blake to let me know so I can pass it on to the legal team. Many thanks.
I was conned almost ten years and I totally understand the feelings of vulnerability and powerlessness you can feel after being conned.
In my case Andrew John Harper rented a room from me, and then quickly love-bombed me. We were in a relationship very soon and then his money problems started.
He claimed to have a ton of money but was having problems with the tax office freezing payments from overseas (he claimed his company was based in the US).
After things ended and I realized that the previous six months had been a lie- I decided I HAD to use it for good otherwise my pain and loss would be for nothing.
I started a closed group on Facebook for victims of con artists. We (Andrew Harper’s victims) were successful in getting him convicted of fraud in Victoria, AUS. He served nine months for conning the woman after me, as well as Australian celebrities and business people several years before in the state of VIC. He even met with Bert Newton and four of his lawyers and not one of them suspected! He was so good at what he did, he was able to con them all.
We’ve supported many victims (or survivors) and many of them have seen their con artists arrested and jailed. I have no experience with how legal things work in Cambodia though, sorry.
.
Ten years on I am a different person and I don’t believe it would happen if I met him now. I’m far less trusting and I very rarely give people a second chance to bullshit me.
I’m here if you need to talk, feel free to PM me.
It's easy to con good people; they have no imagination for how a person could ever do any such thing and will take things as they seem. It has happened to me also.
I had a friend who has a Masters degree and is a director in a hospital. Your story seems similar to hers, and in the end, this man took her for a lot of money.
Eventually his money was locked up by his ex, and he needed some money to pay the rent deposit on his new law office. Then a bit here and there and it got to over $10,000 fast. When she showed up at his apartment, the landlord said he had left and asked who she was. She said she was the GF, and the landlady said that was strange, because he had just left with his GF.He was a former sports professional who was now a lawyer from the USA. He could cook and swoon. He was very wealthy.
Leaves a bitter lump doesn't it. I am glad you have moved on and are thriving now. Good for you.

Gregory Michael Blake - any grudges?
Dear all
I have hired a lawyer to take this man to task. If anyone has a grudge or has been swindled/harrested by him please let me know as it'll all go through the same case and I have covered expenses already.
Many thanks.

Why did you loan him money to begin with? You met him at a bar in Kampong Cham and he said "I'm really successful and if you loan me money I'll repay you 50% interest in a month?"
Re: Gregory Michael Blake
Yes - I am honest
Re: Gregory Michael Blake
Usually, in civilized countries, failure to repay a loan is not criminal matter. You sue the person in civil court and get a judgment and then collect from any assets they have. And if you loan money to a business, like you say you did, and the business fails to repay the loan, then you usually can't get the officers of the business locked up.
Do the terms of the written promissory note Blake signed say that you were loaning the money to Blake personally or to his business?

Re: Gregory Michael Blake
Make sure you screen shot and record any death threats, those are a very serious matter. If you can prove those he can easily be prosecuted.
Try not to worry too much because it seems he has regularly made similar threats over the years. Everyone is still alive.
I still think he needs to be taken out, he has cheated too many people. One of our lawyer posters should get a file together, just for fun.

Conmen are incredibly convincing! That’s their job- to convince decent people.Cam Nivag wrote:Why did you loan him money to begin with? You met him at a bar in Kampong Cham and he said "I'm really successful and if you loan me money I'll repay you 50% interest in a month?"
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.
