Good whiteboard markers

Post by explorer »

The whiteboard markers I have seen used in Cambodia are difficult to wipe off after writing on the whiteboard.

Does anyone know of a good brand of whiteboard marker, or top up fluid for whiteboard markers, which is easy to wipe off.

When you buy them, the ink is from Japan, easy to clean.

It is the Chinese 'Horse' label brand refill that is inferior and makes it difficult to clean.

Use petrol to clean the board...I haven't seen decent refill ink from Japan or anywhere else around

Whiteboards suck, try and use glass boards if you can, way easier to clean.

Yes, this. Invest in a spray bottle of whiteboard cleaner (from IBC or similar) and a soft cloth, it will save you time. I also haven't seen anything but the cheap whiteboard refill here, and it does go semi-permanent if it stays on the board for more than a half-hour or so.

Word of warning on those whiteboard markers with the flip-up ends on them for refilling. Fill them to what you think is the "normal" level, and you've overfilled them, at which point they'll hose ink all over the place. I buy and use Pentel non-refillables and pull the nib out with pliers to refill.
