Good places to relieve yourself when out

Post by dontbelievethehype »

I think this could be a worthwhile and informative thread. Seriously! Best places to take a deuce when out and about. Number 1 we can find easily, number 2 can be challenging to find somewhere that is private, fairly clean, and of course non squat.

I will kick it off with my first nomination:

Costa on riverside, it is a share bathroom with only one stall, but it is like it's own little room, bum gun and stacks of paper towels on hand, most impressive of all, the sink has hot water!!!! You could have that awkward moment where someone else comes in and is waiting for that stall, especially perhaps a lady, but who cares. Type of place where nobody will blink an eye if you just run in to do that. They will of course try to greet you as you come in, but whatever, just mumble and head around the back on the main floor there to find.

(I was inspired from Vlads thread to start this one)

LOL@ this thread.

There used to be a coffee shop on street 278 that had the buttons you could press to decide which style you'd like to have your ass washed.

Soon as you made your selection, a little plastic GoGo-Gadget arm would pop out and give you a nice spray.

I'd just pop in for a quick spray now and again.

In general, the fancy coffee shops have nice bathrooms, and they don't bat an eye when you come in or out.

What about the 1000riel public loo at north end of riverside? Humidity at 100% inside, no seat, and you wipe with your hand and water from a scoop. Total comfort and relaxation. See you there.

If you gotta go , you gotta go and anything will make due. When I was first in country and adjusting to the change in diet, I for sure had to make some unexpected stops to drop a deuce.

Like the first month I was in country, I woke up on Saturday after a long night out drinking. I decided I would try to sweat out the whiskey from the previous night with a little jog around the neighborhood. About 5 minutes in, my stomach drops in the worst possible way. It was immediately pure terror mode as I was on foot, new and didn't know shit. Plus, I lived right next to Russian- Friendship hospital, not busy riverside or something with a lot of businesses to pop into. Everything around was mom and pop shack shops or Khmer restaurant/cafes.

I frantically sped walk while clenching my asshole as tight as I could. At this point, I looked high on PCP or something. I couldn't hold it any longer, I was about to shit myself. I looked to my right and there was a packed Khmer breakfast joint filled with patrons enjoying their food. Mamma was cooking. I looked at her from the road and she looked at me and instantly knew something was up. I yelled " WC?" like 3 times over to her and she motioned toward the back. I fucking ran full speed past table of older Khmer patrons to the WC, threw my shorts down as fast as I could and destroyed that toilet bowl.

What a relief, then... I sat there wondering how I leave. I just opened the door and to my surprise..... no one was even looking at me.
..... it was almost like they didn't... give a shit.

True Story.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...

Good story.

Out of interest, we had a friend from Oz arrive today and we had warned her to just choose to not see some things, like tuktuk drivers sneaking a leak against a fence as they had nowhere else to do it. Being a forthright girl she asked where they take a dump. I have no clue and I haven't trodden in one yet that I'm aware of.

Are there public toilets around the city other than the one on Riverside?

Travelling through the desert in Afghanistan does not provide any cover. When you gotta go, you gotta go right NOW, especially with dysentery. I patented a special Duck walk to stay ahead of the spreading pool of liquid shite. Those were the Days. Girls lined up on one side of the Highway, Guys on the other, 16 of us.

After that experience, there is no immodesty left to judge facilities critically.

I now realise I am on a forum I feel comfortable with :D Unfortunately I've just realised how base I am as I was expecting to read about the best public hiding place you could sneak in a bladder bursting post session piss when you were staggering back to your abode.

I am sure, speaking the local language that finding a local business owner is no problem, if anyone where to have set of business owners they regularly see/know/friends with, it would be the Tuk Tuk fucks. Most of them sit outside one spot all day, I assume, if they conduct themselves like non-assholes, a sympathetic business owner will let them occasionally shit in their WC. Maybe tuk tuk driver pays 500 riel? Even he can probably flip that on the off chance he can't find his normal spot.

I see a lot of tuk tuk drivers homeless pretty much. Maybe no home, but for business reasons, sleep in their tuk tuk. I always feel bad when I see one of them pissing against a fence in a busy area. I have a pretty misguided moral compass, but I hate seeing other men degraded by natural circumstances. I mean, I know that a majority of them probably don't give a fuck, but still, given the option, I think even the roughest of men don't want to be forced by circumstance to have to piss in plain view of everyone. Maybe I am applying western standards here, but I think more or less, Human standards.

As far as bad facilities go, there really isn't as long as you have privacy, IMO. I am damn near 2 meters tall and I can squat. Fucking hate it, but hey, gotta go ya gotta go. I really do think one of the worst feelings in the world is having to take a shit and not having an idea of where you can do it in the next 5 minutes.
