Get out of Jail ?
Two friends have gotten sent to jail for different crimes.
They have served part of their sentences. For some occasions there
are sentence commutations but they would need to be on the list of eligible.
There is a family emergency need for them to return to help a family member who
is in need of care.
It seems like a specialty of law to ask about getting someone out of jail.
So I am asking if anyone knows who to contact about it or who to contact about
contacting someone about it.

If I had a family member in need of care, I doubt I'd pick up the phone to see if I could get my uncle Peter out of Wormwood Scrubs pronto - even if it was his own mother. The sort of guy banged up probably isn't the one you want tasked with a care of duty of another human, when they can't even manage to care for their own life?
Surely there are better options..

Re: Get out of Jail ?
Busting them out of gaol yourself should not be too hard.
You know how unfunctional almost everything is here. Why would prison security be any better?
Getting them over the border and into Thailand thru the tradesman's door is piss easy - if you know the way, or the who.
But then the hard part starts.
Would Thailand or your Western Embassy send them back to Cambodia - or facilitate a trip back home?
('bored, dreaming. better than watching tv anyway)

Jeez, interesting company you keep. "Two friends have gotten sent to jail for different crimes". Time to consider a different social circle would be my plan. Sad for the family member indeed - but it is what it is. I also find it a bit odd that they have been locked up for different crimes, yet both have family members in need? I don't buy it.J. You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That's common sense leaving your body.

Re: Get out of Jail ?
Crimes and sentences, time served up until now ? I'm afraid that if these two had enough money to pay the necessary, then they would already be released or deported.
There are stories about unscrupulous lawyers that take money for this type of service and then abandon the case.
There might be something about payments that on this thread about the western "porngraphic dancers", who were eventually released. (Sorry, I don't remember exactly, check it out.)

Thanks for bumping the thread.
They must have had a representative or lawyer at the trial.
That person would know what the next step would be.

You obviously know nothing about your "two friends" I'm trying to figure out why you want them out of jail so bad. A khmer jail protecting someone from what's outside, is that scripture somewhere?J. Visiting wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 9:07 am Thanks for bumping the thread.
