FPCS Foreigner Registration System
FPCS Foreigner Registration System
I know there is another thread on this but the wide discussion and various opinions have left me confused. It is clear that registration is essential to renew visa after 1st July and also clear that you need to register using an APP on either Android or iPhone. What is not clear is what to do if you do not have a suitable Smartphone. The only Android device I have runs Android 4.2.2. The APP requires Android Version 5. I do not have a landlord.
I understand that it is the landlord's responsibility to register the foreigner however as registration is now linked to the visa it is obviously essential for each foreigner to verify that the landlord has actually done it.
So two fundamental questions that I can not find the answers to:
1. How does a foreigner register without a Smartphone?
2. How does a foreigner verify that he has been registered?

Re: FPCS Foreigner Registration System
Camfone smartfones are ridiculously cheap. And run android 9.0.
You can buy 1 for 100$ new. Im sure you could pick up a secondhand 1 for 50 bucks.
Alternatively have you got a friend with a smartfone?
Slip your simcard in and register that way. It wont affect the other person as its linked to your fone number.

Re: FPCS Foreigner Registration System
Everybody is telling me how to buy a Smartphone. I know how to buy one but do not wish to do so. What I want to know is how to register without a smartphone. Does anybody know?
Re: FPCS Foreigner Registration System
Use a friend's phone. But you need to use your own sim if your friend also registered.
I would refuse another person to register with my sim.
Re: FPCS Foreigner Registration System
is there anything stopping you from registering using somebody else's phone?
ur landlord would be the obvious choice.
they just ask for a phone number, so put ur sim card in a borrowed phone for the process, and ur good, I think.
Re: FPCS Foreigner Registration System
I think you need to use a phone without the app used with another account. AFAIK on one phone you can only register one landlord. One landlord can register more places, but I don't think a landlord wants a place not in his name registered in his name because of tax problems.
