Flu Shot

Post by Brody »

Anyone get a flu vaccination each year?

I haven't gotten one since moving here but last year I was brutally sidelined with the flu and would like to reduce the likelihood of a return to that misery.

I certainly can understand the concern. I wouldn't mind getting one either but i wouldn't know where to go beyond a clinic. And i believe that is your best bet.

Yeah, I did some looking around and saw that Pasteur Clinic offers a flu vaccine. They are pretty on-the-ball, so I feel confident that they'd have the most recent vaccination for this years flu strain.

You may want to read this unbiased pro/con article.

https://yurielkaim.com/the-flu-shot-pros-and-cons/

Also, do you really trust the source of the shot you are about to have?

I last had a flu shot 4 years ago and then went down with a completely different strain of flu. Since then, no shot and no flu....Just avoid anyone who is sneezing and coughing.

You can buy Eucalyptus capsules in most pharmacies in Cambodia. Eucalyptus oil is made from the leaves of gum trees.

Eucalyptus oil is effective against respiratory infections. It becomes a vapor in the respiratory system, which kills infections in the airways.

As soon as you get the first sign of a flu, start on eucalyptus capsules. Once you have used it, you will see how effective it is.

Swallow the capsules, dont chew them. If you bite them they taste horrible.

Australia is a place where gumtrees grow.
Australian people never get sick because of all the Eucalyptus oil in the air.

The first line is correct but the rest is drivel.
Re flu shots. There are lots of strains and sometimes the flu shot held is for last years strain and not the current one.

I don't bother anymore. =@

Back home it was free. Probably dirt cheap here...? Idk

I'd believe getting the shot puts me at a lower risk and its worth it. The flu sucks!
