Khmerhamster has provided the correct answer.

Yes, you should be checked-in by the property owner/management as soon as you check-in to the property, but if not it will not affect your next Visa EOS application...you just need to ensure you are checked-in at time of EOS application.

When I renewed my 12mth retiree visa extn last month, Cina Travel wanted a screenshot emailed of the relevant FPCS page with a check out date of at least 1 month after the visa expiry date. As I'm no longer on a fixed term lease (ie I go month by month), I asked my landlord to update the check out date accordingly. Now he told me he had a problem updating the original registration and that he would have to check me in again...but he didn't use the original check in date, rather he put the current date (ie early Dec 20) and check out date early Feb 21 (ie 1 month after my visa expiry). That all went through OK. Here is a dummy of the relevant FPCS page the travel agency wanted:

When you get registered take a of screenshot of the registration page, you need that to renew.

*I kindly ask the mods to rename this thread “FPCS” so it’s more easily searchable in future for others
up to you...

Chad Sexington wrote: Sat Jan 02, 2021 2:14 pm Your FPSC Registration is tied to your telephone number, and requires a password, even if a landlord is doing the registry for you surely you (the person being registered) should hold / know both of these? If not, how can you edit / update your registration if you move address or when you renew your visa for examples?
Seems to be more than a few who are putting blind faith in their landlords, and not bothering or are not curious enough to have even checked their registration details.
Hopefully you can register backdated without any problem, but why give the authorities the chance to deny your visa renewal/ expel you if they feel inclined to do so?
It is the responsibility of landlords/property owners/management to register their property on the app with their phone number... they then are required to check tenants/guests in/out....but foreigners should always ensure that this is being done as it is our Visa EOS applications which will be affected if not done. Get a screenshot of your details.

Like to thank all the folk who took the trouble to reply and assist/offer advice.

As I understand it, in the event of my guesthouse failing to register their property and me as an occupant, I could change accommodation and get registered in my new place of abode. A screenshot of such a registration would suffice for the ER visa EOS application.

You can also register on their website here:

https://fpcs.immigration.gov.kh/login

I registered as both landlord and tenant. Note that the visa number can not be changed so you need to register again when you get a new visa number.

Basically, the system is a total joke and can be bypassed in myriad ways.

To no great surprise

If you want to renew your visa EOS then you must be registered. To register you need a passport. That passport needs to match the passport you give an agent.

No registration no visa.
