Hello,

i want to bring my ecigarette to cambodia (by plane) this month. Is it still illegal?

Does anyone know how thai airways and thai smile handle e cigarettes?

AFAIK, e-cigs are illegal in Cambodia and in Thailand, but you won't have a problem on the Cambodian end. As I said, this is as far as I know, which means I never had a problem and have never heard about any problems for passengers arriving in Cambodia with e-cigarettes.

As for the airline, you are always supposed to carry e-cigs in your hand luggage. I don't know how that works out going through security if you are flying out of Thailand where they are illegal. Expats in Thailand should know more about that.

I can only say I put one in my main luggage and flew into Bangkok with no problems, it's also possible to buy here too, I am not going to give information where and who, but just look on a few Cambodian sites.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

hmm as i read it looks like only the USE of a ecigarette is illegal in thailand (?). So it would be never a problem just to carry it arround there.

How is it in cambodia, its also only the USE or also the "IMPORT" into the country?

Vaping here is accepted and fine, no one cares. However I would advise against having eliquid delivered here. "A close friend of mine" was happily ordering once per month from vapoureyes.co.nz via DHL without issue for about a year until a couple of months ago when his monthly order got delayed and he was asked to go to some customs place near the airport to sign some stuff. He told them that he hadn't ordered it, vapoureyes were kind enough to agree and say they sent it by mistake, and he's just been buying his eliquid locally since then.

He was not smart to use DHL or any courier service.
Only registered airmail and not problem.

No, he tried that before and had to pay bribes at the post office. DHL is the only way, and it worked for him for quite a while, but he recommends just buying locally now. Most big brands are available here anyway, it just costs a bit more.

I think he just had bad luck. Registered is the only way to go, even if having to bribe post office, which is cheaper than customs.
Anybody thinking that couriers are ok do not know how they proceed and why they are allowed to import products quickly.
He was just lucky in the past, but this is not a rule that couriers are ok.
