Distilled water

A while back I bought a water distiller and it has been a complete game changer.

Every drop of water I drink, all of my ice, every cup of coffee, everything is made with distilled water. It tasted so much better than any bottled water or tap I’ve ever drank. I don’t know how I ever lived without a water distiller. Everyone should invest in one.

If I could afford it, I’d buy one of the giant machines and run my whole house on distilled water

I've drank distilled water - it tastes precisely of nothing to me. Prob that's better than the nasty tap water or some brands of poorly mineralised water but good spring water beats it hands down

What some people dont know is, you can put sea [ salt ] water in, dirty pond water or even urine and still end up with pure water suitable for drinking.

I once sold one to a guy in FNQ who brewed a mix of sugar cane , yeast and water , then after a week strained the liquid off, and put it in the water distiller. The first 500ml of liquid to come out can be as much as 100% alcohol, which he mixed with coffee and condensed milk and made a very nice ''kahlua '' alcoholic drink.

Yeah, it's probably for steam ironing.

When I was chasing distilled water is was for science experiments that called for pure water (nutrient testing etc). But it is also used in sterilization and manufacturing/cleaning of mechanical components that could be at risk of mineral deposition. In fact, I didn't even consider that people would drink distilled water, which evidently they do and evidently they rave over. IMHO, I'll just stick to purified or bottled mineral water. I don't trust the big blue jugs, I have tested the water quality on several brands and it's all over the place from week to week and company to company.

If you want to conduct a simple science experiment, take a few liters of that purified bottled mineral water you drink, and run the water through a distiller. You will be amazed and/or disgusted to see how much shit is left over after the pure H2O water is separated from the shit. Once you’re looking at the massive amount of shit and scraping the shit out of your distiller you wonder how you ever drank that shit to begin with.
Fair warning, if you do this it will make it hard to ever drink that purified mineral water again

By "shit" I'm assuming you're referring to calcium, chloride, potassium, sodium, magnesium etc. that are necessary for bodily functions? You realise that you must get all that "shit" from the food that you eat either way.

Perhaps you should try to distill some of the other drinks that you like and see if you reach the same conclusion. Either way it's neither here nor there to me what you decide to drink.

In Vietnam they had some great spring water from Lebanon … from a mountain spring … price was right and it tasted heavenly … distilled water … meh.

Actually after reading several articles on cleaning an OLED TV screen the best solution I found was distilled water and a dampened microfiber cloth. I do know it's also excellent for steam irons but tap water will suffice for that.

Over here, ya gotta just go for whatever is available and also works without taking a chance of doing irreversible damage. $2400 for a TV is something I don't want to take a chance on ruining so the obvious choice is distilled water. If it works, great. If not, no harm done.

The last half year i drunk about 250 liters of water coming from the 20 liter blue cans in my apartement,delivered by the owner, and never ever had any issue about it, and at 2 dollar for 20 liters "dirt-cheap".
Try to put in your distiller a can or bottle of coca cola, curious what happens with that !!
