I've been sitting alone in restaurants for essentially my entire adult life, because that's the only company that will consistently put up with me.

--So I guess that's ... a "yes"?

Sitting alone at riverside is definitely a bit creepy but you have some normals that would do it so best not to judge.

It’s not the drink alone, it’s the drink alone AT THE RIVERSIDE that cements it.

Being a single adult male and being seen alone in public is now judged as creepy. WOW
Maybe I will just stay home and play on my laptop , now that would be creepy

"Public" is a bit too far, I would single out certain places on the riverside to avoid. For example, if you dress properly and go to La Croisette alone and outside you are OK. Paddy Rice, on the other hand, is creep central for single guys.

It sure is, especially since it closed down about two months ago and you'd be sitting outside a building site.

Yes, paddy rice closed. Had commented on it in the January thread maybe on a different forum. “Was” creep central

Just go to the places second floor or more to be safe. Tuk across from FCC is fine

As for not wearing a shirt, that's part of the benefit of living in this climate. Wearing a shirt in my free time means the shirts need to be laundered, which I hate doing.

I've always said "If you got it, flaunt it. " So when I'm working out at riverside, or relaxing there afterward, sitting alone, I often go shirtless and the Khmer women love it.

99.99% of foreigners are probably jealous and thus acting as clothes police.
