Thank you for the super fast response. Now one more question, I think a four year old should go on the mothers passport and the nine year old have their own? $110 payable for a fast response, well maybe a carton of Ancher.

I don't think they allow children on mother's passports anymore. (Or is that only Oz passports?)

Yeah $110...just did the whole process for my wife by ourselves without an agent. It is very straightforward and simple. They told us one month but they called us within 2 weeks to come get it.

Children can no longer be included in the mothers passports with the new ones, they must get their own, under 12 the pp is only valid for 5 yrs.

Thanks to all for the responses, it turns out that the missus has a passport valid to 2017 with both the kids included. I have forgotten when I organised this but it may mean that I dont need to spend more money on passports.
But after the recent hoo ha with father's names o the kids I don't know. I may have to actually get new passports for all in order to get the visas. Anyway thanks very much to all for the advice, it seems that visas may be issued after health checks in a month or so. It has taken nearly two years to get to this point and I am relieved.
