clinic near Olympic Stadium

Post by hoodedviper »

I've heard tell of a reasonably priced staffed by competent MDs somewhere close to Olympic Stadium on a side street. I would appreciate the name and if possible a web address. I'm not interested in other options. Thank you.

I believe that is it. Please elaborate on your negative reactions and tell me if you personally have used the clinic. Thanks again.

A friend did. The doctor was not too competent, apparently, and told him he would 'pray for you'.

Thank you for responding. I have nothing against theological concern, but it is no substitute for medical knowledge. I would be curious to know the following:
1) What was the diagnosis or symptoms and
2) Was the doctor foreign or Cambodian?

Medical details should be private - why don't you PM ?

However, since nobody asked me; I would not be happy with a doctor that "prays for me" unless that was what I was looking for - in that case I would expect witchdoctor/religious stuff, but that's not medicine. I do think that mumbo-jumbo can work in certain circumstances, so each to their own.
But if you want science, praying won't do it.
Why don't you go and see for yourself ? Maybe there is just one doctor who does the praying and the rest are normal ?

The friend had no name. I fail.to see how an anonymous discussion of symptoms would reveal his identity. You're being ridiculously oversensitive. But thank you for sharing as sensitive posters say

I took my son there one time when he had a high fever (this was just a few days after he had gotten himself a serious head-wound that we dealt with at Central Hospital). They were very professional and the doctor seemed to know what he was talking about. He didn't prescribe any medicine either.

We use Mercy Clinic for all medical care and are very satisfied with the professional service. The doctor is national but internationally trained, and the clinic often has visiting Western doctors on hand.

The nurses take blood more gently than any I experienced in Australia, which is saying something given my past medical history.

The doctor will treat you from a purely scientific medical perspective, and may possibly comment that he will also pray for you. If that's offensive to you, a) get over yourself, and b) go elsewhere.
