Re: Cheapest SIM Ca
Yes, I probably do. But both Cellcard and Smart refer to it as “International”. As in, enabled for international roaming. Which not all Cambodian sims are.
Re: Cheapest SIM Card
Not much to add except that I prefer cellcard to smart for their easy understandable English app (important for booking plans), international options as well as cheap voip calls with a pre-dial code....
Did somebody here managed to buy a cellcard without passport? I am pretty sure I was never or not often asked when buying metfone and smart, but had to register my passport with cellcard. Does it depend on the shop or is this a cellcard thing?

Re: Cheapest SIM Ca
Yeah you have to enable it before you leave the country. I have it set up for one number but it has a long validity expiration. Now I need to set up a Smart number for the same.Freightdog wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 2:14 amYes, I probably do. But both Cellcard and Smart refer to it as “International”. It still seems accessible via USSD:

1. Switch to Smart XtraLong!
Their website is a joke, along with the app - even the old ThomMorng plans which I thought were supposed to be replaced by Laor are also still shown on USSD, what a mess.

Thanks Spigzy! Do you also know how to turn on roaming? I know you have to turn it on before leaving the country

Looks like *1700*313*0# should be the ticket.daeum_tnaot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 1:57 pmSpigzy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:55 am It still seems accessible via USSD:

Re: Cheapest SIM Card
Thanks Spigzy, I think we're going to have to use the app, since I guess the USSD codes can't be used out of country. I hope we'll be able to see this plan on the app, since it's not even visible on their website.Spigzy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:21 pmLooks like *1700*313*0# should be the ticket.daeum_tnaot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 1:57 pmSpigzy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:55 am It still seems accessible via USSD:

Also, FYI the code you sent is to turn off roaming; to turn on, it is *1700*313#
Re: Cheapest SIM Card
No, USSD codes actually route back to the home country - so you will be able to use those so long as you're roaming.
Yes thx for the correction, sloppy copy & paste on my half sorry!

Re: Cheapest SIM Card
Hi Spigzy,
Another follow up on this. If you have put money in the account using the Smart Nas app, does it automatically extend your plan at the date of expiry? I added money to the account and want to make sure its still functioning. Thx
