Car & Driver to Bangkok

Post by Element6 »

I need to transport my dog to Bangkok for surgery. Whilst I can do this via air it seems more convenient to do it by road, especially for the return journey where being stuck in a cage post surgery could be problematic even though it is a relatively short flight.

Does anyone know of any good owner driver with experience of driving to Bangkok who may be interested in such a job? Recommendations gratefully received

Thanks in advance

considering its 13+ hours to drive to Bangkok vs 1:10 minutes to fly.
flying is a much better option.
Plus add in hotels, food for you and ur driver....
give her/him a valium or two before the flight, i had to do that when i flew with my dog often.
It was unique as i had an Alaskan malamute an lived in Aspen Colorado so the flights from there to Denver was non pressurized and you could hear him howl the whole way :-)
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

No Sedation when Flying Pets!
According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), sedating cats or dogs during air travel may increase the risk of heart and respiratory problems. Except in unusual circumstances, veterinarians should not dispense sedatives for animals that are to be transported.

Not healthy for your dog and not pleasant for the other fare-paying travellers, unique is a nice way to describe it I guess. I can think of a couple of other words.
