The only visible, blatant arrogance in this thread came from Gilmore not OP. As stated this was an enquiry, not an application. That's my best guess.

In your opinion.

"In your opinion."

Well of course, I don't post here to express someone else's opinion. So please point out the arrogance in the op that I overlooked.

Indeed, better pay, even for some who are unqualified.

A lot of the schools still hire through those fairs. Skype is increasingly used though. $2000 is enough to live fairly comfortably. Do they provide accommodation?

Thanks to the many who gave some good advice.

They said no accommodation but I am negating for it as in other ADs, I see they offer it. Still haven't heard feedback
about the individual schools I asked about. I have heard of Southbridge and yes, I'll look into it.

I am used to 'teacher' board aggressions, Daveseslcafe used to be like this one a lot more 'freer' back in the day, before he began
to censor everyone. LOL. I think attacking people online is misdirected unhappiness. It's unfortunate I see it a lot in teaching overseas.

You might want to try negotiating for it instead.

I don't think Golden Gate pay anything near $2000 (maybe $1500?), though I've heard that they've brought salaries up recently. I knew the old director of Footprints and I think they've made great strides in the past few years in terms of gaining accreditation, expansion etc. Not sure about pay as I'm not a teacher, but again I think slightly under what you mentioned. No idea about the Canadian school (says Alberta curriculum in their ads), but their new building on Diamond Island is quite nice. For the record, I'd say all these schools are second or third tier international schools. The top ones will pay 3k+. Still, there is a growing number of these schools with nice facilities and better curriculum which helps bring pay up and fees down, which I'm all for.

Thanks great insight. Yes your right about the tier system. It's a foot in the door in the international school system.
