Buying stuff online, sending it to Cambodia
Just wondering if anyone has had much experience with buying stuff online and having it shipped to Cambodia.
Do I need my own PO Box?
Do Amazon deliver here?
Is it generally reliable?
Cheers!

You can get your own PO box, price was $12.50/year but has recently gone up a little ($15? not sure but still cheap).
ALWAYS put your phone number in the address.
If you don't have a po box you can just address it like:
Your Name
Tel 0xx xxx xxxx
Phnom Penh Post Office
Phnom Penh 12000
Cambodia
They will call you when it arrives so you can pick it up. You pay 2500 riel or more depending on weight. More if it was registered post.

You do not need a P.O. Box. Just be sure that you include your Cambodian Phone Number as your address, and get right zip code for the Post Office you want to use. Example:
John Doe
0962021899
Kampot Post Office
Kampot, Cambodia 07000
Amazon does deliver a small number of items to Cambodia... if you set your primary mailing address to a Cambodian one, then each item that you select will tell you if they will ship to Cambodia. But the shipping costs are normally pretty high if from the US. If from Hong Kong or China, shipping costs less. I regularly use camboquick for Amazon purchases. With him, you create an order list in Amazon, and you can buy anything that you can in the US. He will process the order, consolidate your order into a single package, and shipping is more reasonable.
I have lost one package sent to a Cambodian Post Office in 4 years of around 30 or so packages. That one package was small envelope size. All my larger packages have arrived, but sometimes its 5 or 6 weeks.

Many items on Amazon will not be delivered to Cambodia. I use a mail forwarder (MyUs). I usually have a parcel a month sent; never lost anything in 9 years. Just received a package today which left the US Tuesday last week.

Customs told me that any package with a value of up to $2K will not get taxed. Go over that and it gets expensive.frank lee bent wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 4:28 pm i want to send 50 - 100 kgs a month from here to USA
