I changed that over to a 1 year, blue colored multi entry business visa. All I did was visit a travel agency. $285 and it took 2 days. Nothing seemed wrong, easy. I am going on my 2nd one-year biz visa now, wasn't a problem, used the same agency.

Jesus, I thought you HAD to get a 1 month tourist visa then convert it over to a business visa. Hmmmm. Well, doesn't matter now.

The head of immigration did change from my first 1 year to my 2nd.???
$25.usd would have been a "business" visa prior to the price increase. The "tourist" visa's were a mere $20.usd. I have no clue about the colors as have used eVisa's in the recent past.

Please update us on the results of your efforts. I plan to get a one year next month. What agency? Cheers mate.

I've used Lucky Lucky motos for few years now to renew visa. Got latest 1 year approx 3 months ago $280 and the complimentary $1 dollar due to no photo.
I had a bit of a run in with them before that about an issue with asking more money to use my last but 1 page of my old passport but since found out they shouldn't have really done it and it actually saved me money.
Also, they were much cheaper, easier, quicker than the Immigration Office at the airport to pay overstay fee's.

I don't think there is such a thing as a work visa.

The business visa is the 12 month one that costs around $280. Multiple entry. Have used Lucky Lucky in the past with no issues.
The business visa is the one that everyone has that allows them to stay in the country and do what they want for as long as they care to extend their visa.

But, as we all know, there is change afoot. What happens from here on in, is anybody's guess.

Shouldn't think that Lucky Lucky could help out with work permits.
Visas are handled by Ministry of Immigration, while work permits are done by Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

(read: LL has a relationship with them, but not them. Get it?) :hattip:

Question (obviously poorly framed) was where LL mentioned or asked to see a permit before accepting the visa request.

Presumably you mean, 'were LL mentioned or asked to see a permit before accepting the visa request'. No, because it had never been an issue in the past.

But from here on in . . . . . :unknown:

Are you two saying that you need a Work Permit to get the one year extension?

Didn't say that.

However, the rules are changing so things may get tighter in the future. Who knows?
