Bungalow / villa parc - resort in siem reap with pool

Post by james1234 »

Hello,

I am preparing my move to siem reap in the 2nd half of this year and I have been looking at affordable housing in Siem Reap.

I have seen some nice looking houses in what looks like a parc - resort with joint pool. They are rather affordable (300-500$) and on the pics it looks great.

Like

It looks like some of the houses are extreemly small (pics with wide angle camera. But on the other hand, I will be living there with my Khmer GF, not having kids and we don't need a lot of space.

Is anyone living in one of these or such a parc? How is it? Well taken care of or very minimal? Who are living in these houses?
I cant find any info on the internet about these kind of parc/resorts. Does anyone have more info or a website?

Thx a lot!!

TBH I don't think anyone would admit to living in Siem Reap, unless you happen to manage a hotel of course! :D

I love it... in the first one, they almost got the fridge in the kitchen.
You could be next.

Yeah the layout of that first house seems very odd to me.

I like this one the most:

Seems a very nice house, more spacy and more coasy. :D

I did send the agents a request from the contact form, but didn't get any answer  But I am almost used to that now. I already did send many emails to cambodia, and almost never get an answer

Don't bother sending mails to the agents on realestate.com.kh, I've send more than 15 mails over the past years on there, exactly got 1 response, and that was the agent for The Peak who were located in Singapore. Best to call them. Are you from the French or Flemish part James?

Al zeker 3 Vlamingen op dit forum nu :)

Did you already meet your online Khmer girlfriend or are you just coming here hoping for the best? What made you decide you want to live in Siem Reap? Because I remember from your previous posts you were thinking about Sihanoukville as well or am I wrong?

Met my GF online and feels really good. Have very little doubt but know anything can happen or go wrong :stir: .

Have businessproject in SR. When that's running fine GF and I prefer SHV for permanent living. ocean, beach and lower temperatures 8-)

So, it was quite hard to find more info about these houses. Agents only answer facebook messages and not very fast :assasin:

I liked the most:
https://www.realestate.com.kh/house-for ... reap/54367

This is actually a bungalow on the isann lodge resort. Beautifull resort with great reviews.
They rent out some of thier bungalows a long term basis. So living the whole year like on vacation. I like that. :hattip:
Now I send them an email to get more info and deal with them directly. I will certainly stay there.

Only negative side: It is 6,7 km from the night market and the last 700 meters are small dirt roads without any light
On google earth I have look at the roads and they were wet, muddy and dirty. I don't know how this will be in the rainy season? Not a good idea taking this bungalow? :please:

In the time I have been in Cambodia (jun 2016) the roads were dusty but not muddy. And after a shower it dried up quite fast.

What are your thoughts? Bad idea staying there a whole year?
