Along the same ideas, I had looked into steal and some composite materials, also with benefits of cooling in favour. Still to be placed on the trailer, but sectional for travel and movement to site, being that per section can be easily carried by two people, the sectional panel being built to plan in a workshop beforehand. the panels then would just bolt in situ.
OK, yeah, but I want a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom so that's not really for me. You can buy prefab houses (more like site offices really) on Alibaba which bolt together, and can probably get one which would fit on a trailer actually. Like this guy:

Keep in mind that tiny houses get hot in the tropics. You need good ventilation above all. Septic isn't a huge issue, but there are no laws here so you can get away with anything (leech field, distance from lakes etc).

It's not just the heat, but also the amount of UV radiation which will wear off a lot of materials really fast. Most plastics will start cracking after a few years, which is not really an option in a climate like Cambodia where a cracked house will lead to quite some inconvenient months.

I'd be sure to insulate the shit out of it, paint it all white, have good cross ventilation. Where I'm living now I haven't used the AC during the day for six months and my power bill has been just under $20 every month (at night it's set to 28 or 29C so it barely kicks in). Which then makes me feel as much as I'd like to go solar there's little point in the investment as I won't own it long enough to pay off.

Then I see you can get direct solar powered AC units which will run off 1000W of panels during the day and AC at night. Any unused solar power gets sent back into the grid and winds your meter backwards (if you have the old style meter, as most do). So you can use it at night without needing to do a full solar install with charge converter/inverter etc. So that's a better investment at <$1000 than $3500+ for a full solar install.

well, I was considering trying to eat something to battle the hangover, but all this talk of septic shit tanks overflowing has put that plan back a couple of hours.

Anything that isn't permanently fixed and easily wheeled away will probably get stolen sooner or later.

I'd make sure it's fenced in and have security cameras. Besides, it'd be on legs when parked, not just sitting on its wheels awaiting towing.

You can have grid tied solar, but you cannot sell power back to the grid here.

Besides that, there's not a lot to stop you building a small house. You'll need FPCS via the landlord, and maybe other stuff like residency certificates etc so make sure the land owner is willing to take that on.

They'll steal your fence and security cameras as well mate
