One of the things I love about Sihanoukville... QueenCo breakfast buffet. $5 and it's a nice spread with some great breads, fast refills when things run out, and a big omelet ingredient spread.

Amen. That's the only reason to try them.

I tried the one at Alley Cat once.

Not impressed.

Waited 30 minutes for my second plate. You had to go though about 4 pancakes to get another 2 small of bacon.

Tedious.

Same experience as me. Went once maybe 4 years ago and never again. The staff made it a point of being super slow, expecting you to stop eating. Almost looked as if the owner had told them to do that. Pretty sure there was only one serving of bacon and eggs when I went. Extra plates of pancakes only (and they make you wait/seem to judge you). Took forever to get a second serving of pancakes. Bad experience for sure but for a pancake lover might be ok. Maybe things have improved.

Mekong River Lounge ( Cafe?) has that $2.95 buffet. Not that great of quality, but it gets the job done after a night out. Unlimited coffee that taste like dark Viet shit. Orange "Drank"
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...

As far as Alley Cat goes, yes, the management doesn't come in until the late afternoon, I believe.

However, you could tell them the night before, and I'm sure they'd make provisions for you. Really. They're that nice, but only when they're there ... Either Marc or Dallas, both good guys. Will satisfy.

What, they'd lay on a buffet breakfast just for me?... Or do you mean an extra serve of bacon with my second stack of pancakes?

I heard they don't give a toss about their pancakes.

While they might not give you all you ask, I'm sure they'd find a way to satisfy you ... The pancakes ARE all-you-can-eat, don't know about the buffet breakfast though ...
