Been trying to get to Cambodia for 2 years now
Re: Been trying to get to Cambodia for 2 years now
ACE offers an online and in person CELTA course and follow on job placement.
They might be worth contacting as well to see if they can assist with a visa.

And you haven't registered to this forum until now...DannyP21 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 8:43 pm Hi all,
I was hoping for some help. For the last few years I have really wanted to get to Cambodia to start my photography studio, settle down find a beautiful woman and start a family. Since covid hit its been really hard to get into the country. Does anyone know a way to get around the business visa requirement? I would be open to getting hired somewhere and working for someone while I start my Business. Does anyone know if schools are willing to hire teachers who are presently in the country? I have been working on getting my tefl. Any info would be helpful!
Thank you!

Which is relevant, how?
The OP has asked a fairly open question, and fortunately not been too beaten up for having the temerity to do so. Taking a look through the responses, there are several links with actual assistance and ideas attached, plus follow on detail about some of the pitfalls that plague the visa process currently. I certainly find them useful.

I have never been to Cambodia before. Can I get a business visa without a sponsor now? From what I read up they wanted me to have sponsor. Thank you guys for the help!
Re: Been trying to get to Cambodia for 2 years now
You need to contact your nearest Cambodian Embassy/Consulate to confirm what their supporting documentation criteria is, it varies from Embassy to Embassy. Most are only issuing E-type (Ordinary/Business) Visas to people with employment/business related supporting documentation, others are a little more understanding and will assess on a case by case basis, and some are extremely lenient.
The Sponsorship which you may be referring to, was the VAPG scheme, which was suspended months ago.

Is your wife Khmer? Did you marry in Cambodia? If so, send the marriage documents to your local Cambodian embassy as justification for an ordinary visa into the country.Kow4me1 wrote:Please clue me in as well. Now's really not the best time to come here and figure everything out.
Pm if you need a visa agent who can offer you a "job" to get you here, don't say I didn't warn you when we go back into lockdown with the police setting up armed checkpoints again.

This begs the obvious question, why decide that you are going to start up a business in a country you've never been to before?
Have your researched what you want to do and come up with a viable and costed business plan, or is the business/teaching thing just a tactic for getting long-term access into Cambodia?

Many of the Embassies/Consulates are not issuing E-type Visas to foreigners who are legally married and/or have kids in Cambodia, some of the European ones are, UK & Aussie definitely aren't.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:42 amIs your wife Khmer? Really? The UK one was head and shoulders above many other embassies.PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:50 amMany of the Embassies/Consulates are not issuing E-type Visas to foreigners who are legally married and/or have kids in Cambodia, some of the European ones are, UK & Aussie definitely aren't.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:42 amIs your wife Khmer?
