I've had to put down a number of animals in my day, but usually because they're in pain.

When I lived in Cambodia, there were some annoying dogs, but they did bark when people were trying to break in. When the family dog where we lived in SHV was poisoned, the next week the whole enclosed home we lived in (upstairs apartment, down the road from P'sah Lua) had issue with a group of would-be thieves, who tried to pry the metal accordion doors open with a crow bar.

They weren't successful.

We moved bedrooms (there were two) when there was a noise issue in one. We moved several times while in P Penh to get away from noisy situations and situations that didn't suit us. We would never have considered killing someone's dog. If you can't sleep through your neighbor's dog with your air conditioning on, maybe your air con isn't loud enough.

Moving on from my frothing at the mouth, my whole point was the inhumane killing of an animal, to echo Cinnamoncat, doing their job, albeit noisily. It doesn't justify the killing of the dog. That's the last I'll say on the matter.

If you don't like barking dogs, farting tuk tuk drivers or the smell of durians in the morning - go live in an empty hearted, sterile, echo-chamber of a condo.
You deserve it, Important People.

Wrestling ?

Maybe show them this, then ask if both parties has to go to this level ? Maybe they will have a good laugh, then see the point, then adjust ?
Then if it works, pay your 6 pack of fresh beer to say thanks few days later.

Oh sugar! What can we do to rescue this tattered and torn ratbag mongrel of a thread?
The mods will "put it down" again if we don't all start barking a bit more nicely at each other.
