Dear Genius,

Of course I know your advise about opening a bar was sarcasm, my reply too. Was not planning to open a bar.

Is it so strange for a experienced publisher to ask advise about local practise on a forum? A experienced publisher informs himself!

Once there was a topic here called: What killed Khmer440?

I can tell you what killed it: Honest, good meaning people asking normal questions and getting sarcastic answers and being trolled.

A wise man learned me long ago: There is no silly question, the one is silly who doesn't ask questions. Sarcasm and trolling are not inviting people to ask questions, and that shoud be the main purpose of a forum.

But Putin, go ahead and keep making fun of people! Real genius! :stir:

You wrote this: ' The article will be for tourist, who know (almost) nothing about this period.'

Tourists are flooded with this kind of stuff from the time they step off the plane/bus/boat, it is everywhere.

And tbh, I think you underestimate most tourists.

You asked for information, you got it. yes someone joked, and a few questioned your knowledge, and you got your panties in a bunch for no reason, but no one trolled you.

Is anyone who tells you the truth a troll?

No one's making fun of you, no one's trolling you, they are responding to your highly-sensitive, somewhat arrogant reaction to people trying to give you good advice.

In fact, regarding trolling, you're the one who has resorted to ad hominems...

Chill, dude.

Would you prefer my avatar to be of Leopold of Belgium, the genocidal maniac responsible for over 10 million deaths in the Congo alone?

Another joke you missed. Have some coffee, chill out.

if its in Lonely planet, you can be assured most tourists will be reading about Pol Pot

You have a list of those, 40 books you have written and or, the over 200 you have published?
Would love to read some of what you wrote, as i am an avid reader..

why not write about the Chinese Peaceful invasion of Cambodia? Now that would be truly interesting

Any problems publishing the flags of Khmer Rouge or Kampuchea?
Just make sure it's this one:

Or even this one:

..but not this Monatio Flag that often gets mistakenly posted as a "Khmer Rouge Flag" :

Is that the reason that you write with your arse?

Yeah, I wanted to use the first two.
Did you know they are prohibited in Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania and Indonesia? That was the main reason of my question.

Only when I write for you, because I play to my audience.

No, I got it, so I responded in like manner. :)

My memory is not so good, but years back, iirc, I read a post you did about power supply units for computers, and got one a month or two later, solved many problems, so a belated thanks.

Dear Richard, my books are no literature! I have written books, mainly on pets. I wrote the 26th book of the Golden Retriever, but in Europe probably the best sold. Other books about Rodents, Parrots and currently I am writing "Natural pharmacy for horses". I am very interested in nature and history.

I am just good at making informative attractive books and magazins. I believe that most posters above overestimate 80% of the tourist. Not even 2% did read lonely planet upfront. They just did a very shallow reading on internet. Most of them do not make the effort and want very easy access, easy to read, very nice looking information for a small price. I did my Market research.

But you will love my next publication with the Khmer Rouge part!
