Are mini mart clerks regularly screwing me out of 100-200 riel in change?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Also, might I add, you're American, don't use the word "arse", it's weird.

But seriousy bro 100r? those bills are annoying, I try to give them away as fast as I get them. Unbelievable we are having this conversation.

I don't buy water at mom and pop shops are a better deal and give 4000/1 without any argument.
You think that instead of repeatedly arguing with these mini mart people over them trying to charge me $1.25 for $1.20 worth of water, I should just go to the mom and pop shop across the street next to Garage and buy two large bottles of water for $1?

That's crazy talk.
from the mom and pop store on the other side to Larrys on 110 you can get 12 bottles of water for 3000 riel

the Kiwi mart across the street from Larrys always gives the right change

CEO wankers. You are so precious. 100 riel is $.025. 34 posts pissing on Khmer people/businesses because of $.025. This is not your country. Go home if you do not like it.

I was waiting for the inevitable "go home if you do not like it". As certain as death and taxes. And just as annoying.

Pretty good math.

I might have come out with completely different calculation if that happened to me. 8)

I'm surprised no one intervened stating that cashiers don't give anyone their 100 riels back because of the KR regime.

OP I'm seriously worried about you. Whilst you were on holiday from CEO, did a personality transformation take place? :stir:

I mean I thought you were in the practice of championing (not) the cause of old low life white guys shirtless on riverside with little money and chasing 50c draught beers whereever they can find them. And now here you are complaining about 1-200 riel?? Wait, don't tell me: it's the principle right?
