Any worthy food courts In Phnom Penh?

Post by BiggieBig »

Actually looking for cooked chicken or cooked fish that i can buy in bulk as i eat this for all of my meals everyday. I have found the places on riverside to be a little more expensive when eating as many meals as i do. I know in bangkok i would go to a food court to get cheap hainanese chicken and rice for a cheap meal, is their a place like this in phnom penh for just a few bucks to get chicken breast or fish? Thanks in advance

Chicken is everywhere, full or portions on night stalls or markets, but I find expensive at $5 per bird, more so when the taste is not too good.
I have not been to this place in a while, but their bird is good with roast potato.

Chicky Rotisserie #165 Preah Trasak Paem St. (63), Phnom Penh 12302

Big Set $7

Place one foot in front of the other. Now do same with other foot. Repeat continuously and look around while doing so, won't take you too long in PP to find somewhere selling what you want. Also has welcome side benefits to counteract eating as any meals as you say you do^^

I used to love Chicky but the one in TTP makes the chicken too spicy to enjoy the roast chicken flavour. Aeon has plenty of options for cooked chicken.

Dude chicken and fish are mondo easy to cook at home. If I can do it, any imbecile can. With the added benefit you control everything that goes into it. Far less chance of food poisoning.

I don't think anyone has attempted to answer the question of 'worthy' food courts in PP.

The only places that I can think of that might resemble a food court are/were at Soriya and Sovanna malls. Whether the food was worthy is questionable but it's definitely worth a try.

"Hainanese chicken and rice" a.k.a Khao Mun Gai - delicious. Wish there were street side Thai food vendors here, but will have to leave that for a trip to Thailand.

Aeon Sen Sok has Singaporean Food Republic food court. It's ok but pretty expensive. I think chicken rice was $3,5. Also both Aeons have their own food courts. But none of the food courts in PP are comparable to Thai/Singaporean/Malaysian versions when it comes to the price or taste to be honest.

back ages ago used to eat at the sorya food court on the 4th-5th floor
everything was good and dam cheap, most dishes were like 6-8,000 riels
been at least 4 years since been there, so not even sure it still exists.

Aeon Food court is decent with many cheap options. if you want Haianese chicken then just a few doors down from the Super Duper on Sothearos is a good one about $3 per portion
