This, no amount of water or ice will help, especially when your drinking with friends. Try not to match your friends with their drinks, I have a tendency to drink along - next round/fridge run if hanging outside, even if I manage to dodge the first couple(as some of my friends knock back beers every 15 minutes) once the alcohol gets flowing you get caught up in the pace, next thing you know you're 12 beers in.

Ice in beer just doesn't sound right, maybe cider would work.

Dead right, or have friends that dont drink much :D The girl I take out maybe has one wine then is onto water, but on the down side she eats a lot of food  All my friends have partners and I think that may alter ones drinking rate, and even if we are out without partners we tend to drink at our own pace.

ive binge drinked all my life, its british culture,
i follow the strict Khmer Law of
Drink for Drunk
if not Drink for Drunk
Drink for What?!

seriously though,
when i go out and drink, i binge drink and drink to get drunk,
on the nights i dont want to get drunk or want some will power, i just drink beer,
so my "sober nights" = "only drink beer nights" thats the stage im at now lol
its either that or lock myself in my room

I prefer shorts, if I drink beer, I seem to piss more then I drink.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

I'm a massive binge drinker. I can go months in between sessions (well now I can, a year ago they were weekly occurrences) but when I go out I normally start early morning 10-11 am and party all day / night until 3-4 am.

Now I'm a single parent and getting older it takes me 2 or 3 days to recover so that has been my incentive to not let them happen often. Trying to look after a 7 and 4 year old, alone and hungover is not fun at all. A few days like that and it will make you want to tone down the binge drinking quickly.

hangovers seem to increase too since the booze is commonly full of preservatives an horrid chemicals
But that's only in America :D

Beer sold in America can contain several of the following ingredients:

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) – alcohol is already addictive with some people, but with MSG?! Holy smokes.
Propylene Glycol (an ingredient found in anti-freeze)
Calcium Disodium EDTA (made from formaldehyde, sodium cayanide, and Ethylenediamine)
Many different types of sulfites and anti-microbial preservatives (linked to allergies and asthma)
Natural Flavors (can come from anything natural including a beavers anal gland)
High Fructose Corn Syrup
GMO Sugars – Dextrose, Corn Syrup
Caramel Coloring (Class III or IV made from ammonia and classified as a carcinogen)
FD&C Blue 1 (Made from petroleum, linked to allergies, asthma and hyperactivity)
FD&C Red 40 (Made from petroleum, linked to allergies, asthma and hyperactivity)
FD&C Yellow 5 (Made from petroleum, linked to allergies, asthma and hyperactivity)
Insect-Based Dyes: carmine derived from cochineal insects to color their beer.
Animal Based Clarifiers: Findings include isinglass (dried fish bladder), gelatin (from skin, connective tissue, and bones), and casein (found in milk)
Foam Control: Used for head retention; (glyceryl monostearate and pepsin are both potentially derived from animals)
BPA (Bisphenol A is a component in many can liners and it may leach into the beer. BPA can mimic the female hormone estrogen and may affect sperm count, and other organ functions.)
Carrageenan (linked to inflammation in digestive system, IBS and considered a carcinogen in some circumstances)

During my investigation, I couldn’t get a single mainstream beer company to share the full list of ingredients contained in their beer. But I did get some of them to fess up to the use of these ingredients in writing so I’m going to share this information with you now.https://foodbabe.com/2013/07/17/the-sho ... s-in-beer/
if they allow this crap in the beer in over regulated America, then what will they allow in the beer in a poor country like Cambodia??

And I call bullshit on your bullshit. There is a very good reason why a keg of Angkor will only last 3 days once it has been tapped, yet kegs of Cambodia and Anchor will last up to 10 days. Figure it out.

You're probably the only poster on here who is so cheap that you drink that crap. And it's not like you can't afford better on your massive unskilled laborer wages.
