If your feeling lazy, you can buy a a foam cleaner for aircons in a can from Thai Hout for 11 dollars. Should be OK for aircons that aint too dirty.

For $11 wouldn't you establish a microbusiness?

Forgot to update... I used A1 maybe 2 weeks ago. It was a bit of a nightmare but wasn't entirely their fault. They were very professional. Showed up with a gas canister, water compressor and large canvas bag to catch all the water. Just after the guy had installed the water catching bag, the power went out... Fark.... After a 15 minute wait or so, power came back on. But right then and there, water was gone! Knowing that it was probably a city-wide powercut which had affected the city's's water pumps, I told them to wait out.

Another 15 minutes later the water starting coming out again. But then... Their machine wouldn't start! Obviously, the wire was split in like 3 places so I helped them troubleshoot the spot. They had a multimeter and took it apart. Eventually, after a good 30 minutes of fiddling with it they called in for a replacement. After 45 minutes or so the replacement was there and he started washing but the back of the bag wasn't properly seated so water came running down the wall as I screamed to stop. I had rags ready for such an incident so it wasn't a biggie. After washing the machine they did the outside unit (compressor) and topped up a bit of gas. Despite the hiccups and excessive amount of time (took all my Sunday morning!) I'd use them again. I could tell the machine thing was a one-off and the power/water thing was highly unusual as I very rarely get powercuts... It should just take 15-20 mins. Aircon does blow colder than before. Definitely worth it for the price. I doubt it'll bring down my bill next month but feels good to see all that dirt coming out of the unit. Probably going to do it every 4-6 months from now on.
