Interesting tale. How much was too much?willyhilly wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:37 pm Hmm. Very interesting and I will add my two cents. I paid Raz too much about three years ago for the application for the 309 partner visa.

I used Luke Gorham from Aussie visas, he is an Aussie based in Sydney / Bangkok. And is an Australian trained lawyer.
For my first tourist visa (subclass 600) for Cambodian girlfriend (she worked at 'simply the best' on street 130 at the time), he arranged all the paperwork including writing a stat declaration of the relationship.
Submission of the documents was done in person by my girlfriend to the embassy in phnom penh and all went smoothly.
all the best

There are some reasons why a person wanting a visa would want to only deal with a person / business that is registered with Australian system.
Question,,, Why are http://www.australianvisaadvice.com/ not registered if they are a genuine business and in it for the long haul.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.

After about a year it seemed impossible, the father of the youngest child was in Thailand. Raz suggested spending thousands on lawyers. Instead I told Immigration that neither myself or the Australian Government should be involved in corruption.
The problem was resolved, I awaited the visas for another year! I went to Phnom Penh two years after applying through Raz expecting the visas.
I got the call from Immigration in Phnom Penh. We asked Raz one year ago to supply police reports for you and your partner from Cambodia! So east fucking west ignored this basic requirement for a year!!!
Jumped through more hoops and a couple of months later got the call from my contact in Immigration Phnom Penh. Total time elapsed two years. One can apply for permanent residence two years after applying for the 309 visa!
Anyway this chap in PP said we want you to rob in Raz. The government is sick of unregulated Cowboys in the game.I never did anything about it but I was disappointed at the incompetence and lack of interest by Raz in my situation. He was totally uncaring.
Now I know that navigating the process oneself is not that difficult.
Here in Agents must have tertiary qualifications and they are regulated. And their service is excellent. A friend recently asked visa advice from two agents. Both gave him the best advice. One charged $75, the other was free!
Razz only charges $200 per hour, Did he send you the bill ?

best to ask them, afaik he has a registered migration consultant number. Given I most certainly am not on the forum to advertise, I only offer my personal experience.Duncan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:50 pmIfrenchkiss wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 5:51 pmit seemed to fit the thread, not exactly a spam posting.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 5:01 pmCould not help but comment on the obvious... poster joined May 06, first post today and plugging an advertisement for a company.Ifrenchkiss wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:42 pm http://www.australianvisaadvice.com/

Raz is a liar..., he is not an Australian registered
Migration agent, this has been confirmed by official sources several times, the Australian Embassy even advises people as such.

Thank you all for your replies. Just a quick update -
Through a friend, I managed to get on to a person who was in immigration in Cambodia up until last year and is still immigration in Australia now. I asked the same question ie : "can you recommend an agent to help us?" The reply was basically "ROTFLMFAO. NO none of the agents in Cambodia or Australia are trustworthy, in fact the word "shonks" applies to ALL of them and we make it as hard as possible for a Visa through them to be issued".
You can give me all of your "but my friend did it this way" etc stories, but this came from Ozzie immigration and I will be listening to this advice.
We put my mate onto a plane back to Oz today and will be doing the hard yards ourselves on the Citizenship by descent for his daughter and the Carer Visa for his wife through VFS. Hopefully he will survive long enough for the Visa to be issued.
Once again, cheers for your advice everyone.

Re: Agency to organise Australian visa for Cambodian wife
In my experience, if it can be done online via the online.immi website, do it online.
VFS are just middle men that take forms, and can't provide any advice or help, and ultimately slow the process through their appointment requirements.
Best of luck.

I seriously hope and pray a good result out of this tragedy transpires.

Why doesn't she just apply for a tourist visa? I've sen lots of photos on Facebook of Cambodian wives and girlfriends on holiday in Australia. At least a tourist visa has a chance of being issued relatively quickly.
