Re: Affordable Chiropractor
There are a lot of Kru Khmers that do adjustments. I know of one in Siem Reap near Chong Kneas. Might be worth reaching out to locals.

Why not see a physiotherapist instead? Plenty of good ones around town (some Khmer that are cheaper than the foreign guys) that will give you way better long-term benefits than visiting some quacks that gives you pseudoscientific care. Might as well ask about healing crystals while you're at it.

Oh I was under the impression that many did the Thai/Khymer massage version of things rather than cracking your back a bit. I certainly don't buy into the pseudoscience nonsense I just get a little back pain relief from having my back cracked. Do you know of any particularly good ones you would recommend in the areas you talk about?Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 10:30 am Why not see a physiotherapist instead? Re: Affordable Chiropractor
What I meant is that chiropractic manipulation is a pseudoscience and has been proven time and time again in meta studies to have zero effect on serious ailments. It's not a real science, people who practice is are not doctors (and didn't study it in a proper school/it's barely regulated anywhere) and at best it's not going to help beyond a brief moment of pain relief and at worse, it's going to hurt you.
If you like to get a massage and get the odd twisting and cracking, that's fine (so do I). What I meant is that if you have a more serious medical condition (a lingering ache or impingement, a tennis elbow, knee pain, back pain, whatever), going to a chiropractor on a regular basis to fix this issue isn't going to help, but a physiotherapist likely will. Good physiotherapists to recommend would be Physiotherapy Phnom Penh and Movement Physiotherapy, but there are many others.

Oh yes, I know the whole thing like in penn and teller's bullshit that ran through the whole thing. It's mostly a racket and stupid but getting my back cracked helped me in the medium term with stiffness and some pain. I don't have very serious issues so far. People should not replace actual doctors with these guys.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 9:53 am What I meant is that chiropractic manipulation is a pseudoscience and has been proven time and time again in meta studies to have zero effect on serious ailments.
