Do you need 18,000 $ ?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

I reckon my artistic talent is up to that.
I know that this may not be appreciated but the idea of you selling yours could make you a fortune because you are usually full of it. :plus1: :plus1: :plus1:

I love art....
I miss my studio in US...
I brought some pieces I made and others I bought the last 50 years and Maria, a nude my stepfather bought in Acapulco in 1960...I inherited.
I have my Buddhist and Hindu pieces out in the front room.
I never knew an artist or made anything with a huge profit in mind.
To me...that is not art...just merchandise...

Well, hang on. Surely the value is dependent on its rarity. If the esteemed member were indeed full of it, then doesn’t this drag the artistic value down? Instead of being art worth thousands/millions, it’s more like Christmas cards worth a couple of bucks.
Then, to get the same return, it would no longer be a limited artistic run*, and instead be a production line with a much overused colon...

*if artists do runs, in which case would that have the same appeal?

It’s always fascinating, the shit people talk about...
