And honestly I'd hope not. I like that we're developing into something different... so an "X goes here and Y goes there" sort of thing.

Makes both sites better, and both equally equipped for shared/mutual success.

It's all down to the people populating the forums. I keep coming back here because some people won't go back to 440.

In addition to some topics being happily discussed here and not over there (and vice versa), I also find it fascinating and interesting to observe the different feedback from each forum on the same topics.
It's very much like back in the early 2000s, I would always read what the Phnom Penh Post (published every 2 weeks and lagging way behind the Daily) would say about a particular topical issue. It would provide a bit more insights and another angle to the same stories.

I'd gladly do a piece in my spare time. Let's see, 500 words, subject: Life in Cambodia, quirky, maybe shocking and a bit sensationalist for old-timers ... Sums up that other site's writers?

Scooby, isn't what you're proposing re. the restructuring somewhat close to what CEO has (minus the private mongers part)?

Since both forums have simultaneously lost their heads, I expect CEO will die a death and all those previously banned from here will return, so you might as well bring the nuts and bolts over with the flotsam and jetsam - Chuang2U could build a small plane out of it.

Personally I think the 440 boys are deliberately aiming to lower the tone and vibe on CEO to sabotage the forum and drag it down to 440s current level of fail. I'm all for making them welcome as posters, but I'm not going to participate in the lowering of social standards with them. Just sayin'.
