If You Have Something Random to Say About Khmer440.com

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

I was permabanned on suspicion of the 'possibility' of being you, despite Hogan being fully aware I am not.
I remember they thought I was the General at first too lol.

People just make new posters at khmer440 unwanted and antagonize good people for speaking about Cambodia in negative light. The funny thing is that It seemed as if khmer440 mostly the (clique) sympathize with what's wrong with Cambodia. In other words it's okay for them that people are rude, uneducated, violent and aggressive. I've never would have thought that having good intentions for the well being of Cambodians to cause such a negative light on people.

Cant read well can you, NOT LOCKED< just no more comments after Scoffer.
now now richard...it was locked this morning and it seems they've had a change of heart...flimsy to begin with so perhaps no surprise...
Unbelievable, They've done another reverse ferret to appease the reverse ferrets, surely not. :Yahoo!:

Agreed. I think this forum should monitor how recent popular bannings from 440, have negatively affected here. I can think of two regular posters who have left here, although I don't know why. Some members are toxic.
Got to disagree with you there UKj. I cannot for the life of me understand why Raindog, SCC and Vladimir were banned if the forum owner wanted to be consistent. In my opinion it was a knee jerk reaction pandering to several long term posters whose views seem to carry more weight for some reason, maybe you get a 5 year gold star for length of service I don't know. If the charge against Vladimir is repetition on the same subject, that could easily be applied to numerous long term posters. The very same posters who shouted the loudest for bannings so they didn't have to listen to the guys, are the very same ones following their every post on here. Why are they wasting their precious limited time and not discussing all the interesting topics they yearned for.

The only common theme I can see is that all 3 held different views to a group of posters who appear to think their views are more interesting or should carry more credence than everyone else's. Be consistent FFS K440 and treat everyone the same. Scobienz has at least tried to improve things in that respect but I think he's swimming against the tide and the bannings are a step backwards.

Their posting on here now together with quite a few new posters recently is making this a much more lively forum. I haven't particularly noticed a mass exodus here, it's a revolving door and fortunately my overall impression is there seems to be more new arrivals.

Ps If Vlad gets Alzheimer's I'm out of here, it's bad enough reading his puns the first time.
Pretty much the way I see it. The later part of my history there was just ragging them really, after getting fed up with it all.
I still think that the mods that allowed the split into CEO showed really bad decision making. Somehow i cant imagine PB going for it more like KIR and Logos. Scoffer probably made him self a cup of weak tea and agreed with what everyone was saying. :D
Trouble is if it was like the division of India that would make the General JIna

When I read the posts over there now, I am so glad I can't post anymore. It's all about testosterone.
In truth I was looking for a way out. Scooby gave me it.

Good point. But while it may not be true that 'we' help those like us "to the exclusion" of those who are not like us, charitable resources, time and money are limited, and when we do choose to help, especially in a massive resource sucking case like Nick has turned out to be, is it not possible that resources are being diverted to him that may have otherwise gone to local folk? Perhaps even a disproportionate amount of resources into a single individual? If SCC had not spent a hundred hours and untold dollars on Nick, might those resources have been spent on local folk in desperate need of something such as medical care? And, if those resources would not have otherwise gone to local folk, why not? If it is not because 'we' are helping those 'like us' to the exclusion of local folk, is it then because we reserve our charitable resources only (or primarily) for 'our own kind'? (Honest questions. I am not trying to be leading or rhetorical.)
I have helped other people you know
Cambodians and other nationals. Why do you think it has to be one or the other? When something drops into your lap you have to make a decision what to do.

I hope this clears things up, ducky.

I'm not your friend, but ....... Oi, Vlad, you are a toadying, corrupt, hypocritical, charity selling, incoherent, demented, unfit teacher. You did ask!

You can return the favour by telling me why you are the most protected 440 member in the forums history? I think all your anti 440 posturing is disingenuous.
JPS, RD and other guys on here are perma banned for a lot less than your never ending disruptive antics, but no matter what you do or say, you never get perma banned. You must have done some toadying IRL.

They do it because the forum owners are doing business. I think scobienz was at least honest enough to publicly state that the website was acquired for business. They do not want visitors to the site to see negative (some would say realistic) posts on the site, that discourages investment. gavinmac used to whine every time I called out some Shylock for advertising an over-priced apartment or room.

Secondly, they are by and large, totally insulated from the negative effects of what's wrong with Cambodia. They stay in expensive houses/apartments, they work in air-conditioned offices far from most poor people, they eat at 5 star hotels and brag about their money, and many of them benefit with what's wrong or even contribute towards it. People who do this are not here for the long-term or to benefit the majority of Cambodians in any way.If anything threatens their cash-flow, they will run. They are carpetbaggers, pure and simple.

The people who get offended by such statements are generally the ones with the most to hide, and their predictable response is usually to launch personal attacks/discredit the source of criticism. When that fails, banning.

Are you going to tell us why you are the most pampered forum member in 440 history? It kinda goes against the rebellious (lol) outsider image you try to portray, while being right in there, getting Facebook friended etc. :ROFL2:

Love the Vlad infomercial. I'm definitely voting Vlad, working class hero, man of the people, teflon toady. Banned and outcast ( even though it' was a temp tiddler ) for his high moral compass. :thumb:
