Who or what inspires you?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Daum Penh Stalker has received a permaban for this and other unacceptable activity, including, rather ironically (or not), his now deleted topic defending the Confederate Flag.

wait a minute, I am a southerner and i cant see why anyone should be banned for talking about the confederate flag
its part of American history, just cause some do gooders try an make believe that part of history did not happen or that its bad flag, is no reason to follow the crowd /

Read the book, its very well written and informative, things would have been different is the south had won and i am NOT referring to slavery or human right issues.

If the South Had Won the Civil War is a 1961 alternate history book by MacKinlay Kantor, a writer who also wrote several novels about the American Civil War as it actually happened. It was originally published in the November 22, 1960, issue of Look magazine. It generated such a response that it was published in 1961 as a book.

The book is written in the manner of a history text published in the alternate reality of 1961 and describing the developments of the past century, in which the Confederate States of America had existed as a separate nation-state. It includes numerous footnotes and quotations from various (fictional) historical writings.
