When is a flamethrower not a 'flamethrower'?
Re: Why would an Elon Musk company develop a working toy flamethrower?
You, sir, know nothing about me and I know plenty about the world. I know enough about your open air prison colony to know there's no sheep station (farm) bigger than Texas. And my Johnson bar is bigger than yours.

.....close... not.StroppyChops wrote:In the outback region of Australia where we come from, there is a sheep station (farm) just north of the town that is bigger than Texas. I always like to get in first when Texans are about to start comparing dicks.
Texas is only 30 times bigger than 24 000 square km....
Give or take.

You are right, and Stroppy's info is out of date, but it was true in the past.Barang chgout wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:30 pm.....close... not.StroppyChops wrote:In the outback region of Australia where we come from, there is a sheep station (farm) just north of the town that is bigger than Texas. I tried to find it on Google, but failed. Everything now points to the Anna Creek Station with a size of 23,677 sq km, give or take an inch.
However, up to maybe 20 or 30 years ago, there was indeed an outback cattle station that was bigger than the state of Texas. It was then divided into smaller lots and sold off.
Sorry, can't find a valid source, but it's out there somewhere.

Yep, my information is out of date as the station in question was broken up into smaller holdings some time ago. Always an easy way to get a rise out of Texans though.Username Taken wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 9:54 pmYou are right, and Stroppy's info is out of date, but it was true in the past.Barang chgout wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:30 pm.....close... not.StroppyChops wrote:In the outback region of Australia where we come from, there is a sheep station (farm) just north of the town that is bigger than Texas. This, however, is still true. As part of my academic background I was once the regional manager for the Pilbara educational district encompassing high schools and colleges in a single geographical region that covered more than 650,000 square km. Texas is only slightly larger than that.

The sheep station doesn’t have Piney Woods, the Gulf Coast, the Valley, the western canyons. Nor does it have slow smoked chopped beef BBQ with or without sauce.
Plus I don’t like lamb chops.

The NW region of WA has an abundance of 'canyons', white beaches with coral reefs, Australian beef, very few Texans...newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 2:43 am The sheep station doesn’t have Piney Woods, the Gulf Coast, the Valley, the western canyons. And kangaroos! Lots and lots of kangaroos. We use them as "mile posts " on the highway.....every 200m.StroppyChops wrote:The NW region of WA has an abundance of 'canyons', white beaches with coral reefs, Australian beef, very few Texans...newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 2:43 am The sheep station doesn’t have Piney Woods, the Gulf Coast, the Valley, the western canyons. And why would white sandy beaches and coral reefs be wasted on raising sheep?

You can make kangaroo jerky but I imagine it would be as tough as boot leather as there's zero fat on the fresh meat.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 9:36 pmDoes kangaroo meat slow smoke well?Barang chgout wrote:And kangaroos! One of my most favourite beaches with coral reef is on a sheep station that's owned by a family that has been forced by the government to lose slices of it to Chinese investment corporations. Sound familiar?
