What is your mission in Cambodia?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Kali told me in a dream when I was 19 that I should leave the USA as it is evil and that it will be facing a major catastrophe. She told me that I should move to the East and that I am the Defender of the East. She also told me it is my job to protect women and children and the Eastern world. She also told me that no woman will marry me unless she agrees to it. If someone hurts me she will hurt them. I believe this to be true because my father died from Leukemia after he once hit me for not doing my laundry when I was a teenager

I also had another dream where I am not actually a human but an alien from a star in the Pleiadian star system. I am a Grand Admiral of a Star fleet located between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus and I am sent to Earth to determine if Humans are worth saving or if they should be exterminated. I am not actually a human but a reptile who is able to shapeshift. however, while I am on my mission I am not able to shapeshift. This is likely why I have a strange affection for reptiles. When I look at snakes, crocodiles, and geckoes I think of them as relatives and I feel very protective of them. I once saved the life of a snake that my cat was trying to kill. It angered me when the cat was trying to kill the snake.
This would explain why I am not a very emotional person and do not form bonds with humans easily. every so often I get a strange desire to sprout wings and fly around the city i am living in and breathe fire on everything. The last time i had this desire was in Santiago de Chile. I do believe that my ancestors are Dragons and I have the personality of a dragon. I am highly intelligent and cunning. I have an IQ of 160 but I am also selfish and greedy. When i lived in the USA I would take all my money and sleep on it at night because i am worried either humans or aliens would come in the middle of the night and steal it from me. I do believe that I am the center of the Universe and everything in the Universe revolved around me. The day I die is the day the universe will end. It is a belief that this will happen in 3000 years unless I figure out the secret of living forever.

Did you ever tell that story to a shrink? I think there's a lot of potential.

Once I’ve mastered khmer to an advanced level which will take me about 2-3 years more i will think of my mission in Cambodia. Before it happens i will be looked upon as a clueless barang and not taken seriously, and for good reasons. Local language is the key to hearts and minds of people. Understanding and holding a conversation on any topic with educated khmers (and wearing trousers instead of shorts by forum members’ suggestions) is what will open new doors for me. Until then i will be a humble student with no mission other than study and enjoy my time with fine bar ladies who have been an immense inspiration in my linguistic pursuits.

Why don't you just converse with educated Khmers right now in English?

No like.
There is no magic in that. Neither for me nor for them. Totally different feeling when the conversation is in a local language, but i still got to level up my vocab. When i am ready, my mission will change to something more sophisticated.

I am the worlds worst linguist (thank the Stars for my wife) but that does not really concern me as much as it usually would.
I have almost zero interest in Homo sapiens. My interest has always been in understanding the wildlife.
When i get back next time, i am hoping it is for life.
My mission for this next, final, stage is to live amongst my marine enviro animals and birds as closely as i possibly can.
To live in their world, to get to know them even better - personally.
To be accepted as "that crazy barang" and part of their everyday lives.
