What Kind of Fucked Up Bar Girl Tattoo is This? ( . )( . )

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. I think the "prison tattoos" you speak of are what I'm talking about. It's not like the farmers are getting half-sleeves or professionally-done full-sleeves. They're just simple faded traditional tattoos for the most part. Some will also have a tiger or some other prison-style tat, but most will have some protective script or something like that. It's hard to tell what percentage. If I had to make a wild guess, I'd say 5-7%? Maybe a bit more... Not extremely common, but you'll notice them on tons of guys heading out into the fields/forests.

I also find it surprising that samouth hasn't noticed surgery amongst khmer women. Nose and chin jobs are increasingly common. I've met/noticed quite a few over the years. The nose is usually pretty easy to notice, sometimes you won't notice the chin unless it's mentioned. I've also noticed the trend with tattoos on the ankles or hands or girls. Young girls in their late teens to early twenties too... Not poor either, they mainly come from rich families. Not extremely common, but I see them way more than a few years ago. Maybe a K-Pop/music video influence or something.
what type of tattoos do the men out in the provinces have? ive been out in the provinces and have met 1 guy who had a tattoo, had it done when working in thailand, and 2 others who had prison tattoos, who had also been working in thailand, i got told by a few people that apparently they got kicked out of thailand, killed someone apparently, cant remember the story tbh
i do remember the local police coming down and getting a picture of my passport details incase i got in any bother with the local men/stabbed...
but other than them 3 that i remember, it was the same type of conversations,
not saying your wrong, just saying ive rarely come across it so i dont think its as common as what your saying

yeah tbh i do know a fair few khmer girls that really want a nose job, but i just tell them if they do they will look like a ladyboy, i know a fair few thais that have had it done, i dont like it really, it just doesnt make them look natural
Jamie, I still have to be in BKL side, Actually there are ton of former military who had tattoos. I guess you might see some tattoos on some beggars who lost some part of their limbs. Actually there were former military who were sent to k5 or were the military during khmer rouge or Lon Nol Regime. Unfortunately, they were left out by the current government, no support and as they couldn't do anything to support their lives. They technically became beggars. I would give money to those not those young man holding baby.

The reason that they had tattoos was to protect them in the war and to make them invincible. Again most of those tattoos were sak yants.

See, not only khmer society who thought having too much tattoo is bad. People with massive tattoo on their body are really hard to get a job in Cambodia. I can't imagine how my parents and grandparents would do to me if i told them i have got a tattoo even a single small one. :(
I might cause my grandma to have high blood pressure. Let alone to bring a girl with massive tattoo to see my parents.
oh of coarse but its no where near on the same scale...
there is a flaw in this video, it is more aimed at the Biker look, who have a very bad reputation of being anti social and aggressive, and there are a lot of campains going around on facebook to stop this kind of discrimination as not all "Bikers" are the "Hells Angels" stereotypes

and also its against the law to discriminate someone with work about their tattoos, an employer might ask you to cover them up or whatever but they cant not give you a job through having tattoos, although if theres an interview process they are more likely to pick someone that doesnt have tattoos, so its your own choice if you want to take them risks getting them

but tattoos are hugely fashionable in england and the states atm everyones getting lots of big tattoos, even the women

I agree that it's hard to tell whether or not her lips have been done. A lot of Khmer and Thai ladies have naturally large lips, so I'd find it difficult to tell if they'd gotten an injection. The nose is what stands out for me. It always looks so out of place on a khmer face. High cheekbones with big fat cheeks, a small chubby round face aaaaaand, a long nose... Looks so wrong.

I am not against with TATTOO. i also wanted to get at least one or two, however since my family are not happy for me to get tattoo, so i chose not to have them rather than making them unhappy and moreover it might cause me to have a hard time in getting job in the future.

yeah ive seen some of those ex miltary beggers, theres a few down in sihanouk, 1 guy always makes a point in showing me all his sak yant tattoos when asking me for money lol he is actually got the sak yants all over his body arms legs and back and chest.

as ive said a few times, im not saying that khmers dont have tattoos, im just saying through experience 9/10 the khmer men that speak to me about tattoos dont have any and are too scared to have them due to family/gf/work etc, some often say that tattoo = mafia lol i cant really say much more on the subject other than that, with being covered in tattoos myself it is a topic of conversation i have to go through at least once or twice a day, but can only comment on my experiences

I'm here now, bitch! Let's meet up if you're around. (I just arrived in Battambang for a couple days though, and I have a feeling you're not here.)
