Wanting the Police Arrested...Geoge Floyd Case

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

There could be fault on both sides. The officers handled the situation poorly AND George Floyd was resistant, belligerent and, possibly, high as a kite.
the crime started when the office put his knee on Georges neck
and than for apx 6 minutes he was apologetic, crying for his mom, sorry and dying an for 2 + minutes dead

The crime started when George was a criminal suspect. Non of this would have transpired. This goes back to my original point.

For those who responded with anger, I feel you. I am with you. If you were right on the side of the law, then why the other officers have not been arrested!!? It is because they were A) doing their job as their first main priority and keeping things safe and peaceful, B) had authority to defy/compromise the main officer's job or instructions during a dangerous criminal transaction while also doing their own job to help keep the scene safe and peaceful. Can you imagine police officers getting into a fight with each other every time there is a criminal transaction? It's a DANGEROUS JOB! Their lives could end in seconds/minutes as well!

Thanks Big Daikon.

Think rationally, please don't flame. Apply criminal law.

just wait, they will be charged!! my guess; "felony murder
Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo believes three police officers who said nothing as Officer Derek Chauvin held his knee against George Floyd for almost nine minutes were “complicit” in Floyd’s killing, with the chief sharing those thoughts in a live interview on CNN in response to a question from Philonise Floyd, George Floyd’s brother.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasre ... 8947301222
“In my mind, this was a violation of humanity. This was a violation of the oath that the majority of the men and women that put this uniform on, this goes absolutely against it. This is contrary to what we believe in … Again what occurred to me, it was an absolute truth it was wrong. Period,” the chief said.

Arradondo also told Sidner three other officers involved in Floyd’s death were “complicit” because they did not stop Chauvin from placing his knee on Floyd’s neck or try to intervene. They just looked on as the unarmed, 46-year old pleaded for his life as Chauvin applied pressure. Arradondo cited their inaction as one of the primary reasons why he fired them so quickly.

There is a fair chance that these 3 will be found not guilty if charged.
And maybe even the No1 perp.
The bricks will really hit the fan if/when that happens.

A common way these killer cops get out of it is they get overcharged, then can't meet the standard because they overcharged on purpose. It seems they didn't do that if it's 3rd degree murder. Derek Chauvin will probably be found guilty, but not the other 3

Agreeed with you two. They would waste taxpayers money, millions of dollars, if they decide to charge and eventually lose on conviction. Not to mention the two Asian American cops will file discrimination and counter suits. Dont fuck around with the innocent cops who were just doing their job and HAD NO LEGAL AUTHORITY TO
ENSURE THE VICTIMS SURVIVAL DURING A CRIMINAL TRANSACTION.

To convict the 3 cops, you must then rove, for EACH COP, A) intention to kill and use of improper/excessive force, B) has the legal authority to hurt/override lead officer Chauvin in order to ensure a criminals survival. THE BAR IS HIGH AND THESE PROTESTORS WILL DO SQUAT TO GET THE OFFICERS CHARGED AND CONVICTED. GO HOME!!!

Soon this thing might turn into Asians vs. Blacks vs. Whites!!!

ur crazy, have you seen the faces of the protestors, ( NOT the LOOTERS, RIOTERS) an equal combination of blacks & whites

These protests are NOT just about race...
,,,,HAD NO LEGAL AUTHORITY TO ENSURE THE VICTIMS SURVIVAL DURING A CRIMINAL TRANSACTION.
Not legal but 100% MORAL duty.......

America is tearing itself apart over this, I hope we don't too. I spent 22 years in law enforcement in a shitty part of Los Angeles.

Robins, it's all bullshit and we know the officers will do well in the end, except the protestors will add more to the death count due to the additional spread. That would mean bringing potential additional deaths to their families, if they live together...

Isolated incidents do not constitute systemic racism. Law makers and the Trump administration are saying this. That is like saying officer Chauvin is making the entire police force or The World racist against blacks. And like saying outright that Trump is a racist. Actually, anyone can be a racist and the victim can be Asian, Moslem, Hispanic, Black, etc. Can a white cop then be a victim of racism? Who are you to define who is a racist? Why arent the other races in Cambodia and USA be included in the systemic racism charge and benefited from any regulatory changes?

Sometimes one is quick to say that he or she is discriminated against simply because of being disliked. In the context of and during a CRIMINAL TRANSACTION, this type of allegation holds little or no weight in the courtroom under the doctrine of "qualified immunity", which favors the the cop almost always. Remember who was a criminal to begin with that triggered the transaction? Discrimination cases usually associate with people who are innocent. Even then it is hard to prevail on a disctimation case.

Floyd's case would have won in court if he was completely innocent.

The other huge huddle would be to convince all the jury members to be unanimous. All have to agree in order o convict Officer Derek Chauvin. It would be sweet to have an all black jury panel. Unfortunately that is not going to happen. The other officers will NOT be found guilty for sure.
