84% Of Vegetarians & Vegans Return To Eating Meat

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Genuine question: do you consider yourself to be 'thinspirational', by any chance?

Me? I'm genuinely asking if you're underweight by societal norms and hoping to be a role model. Is the term 'thinspirational' not used where you're from?

Sorry, but putting words together to form another new word irritates me. Say what you mean without resorting to gimmicked words. My objective has always been optimization of body for longevity. I don't give a shit how I look; I just want to be healthy for as long as possible. Oh, and obese people give me the shivers. I feel sorry for their abused bodies. As I feel sorry for those who smoke. One day they'll get the horrible news, and then they'll pity themselves until they die. And it could have been prevented.

'Thinspiration' is not my word but frankly I could care less for your position on emergent language - let's be honest here, you're pro-ana, right? The rest of your judgmental little rant ticked the boxes... or do you not know that term either?

Okay, what does THAT mean?
Pro-ana refers to the promotion of the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. It is often referred to simply as "ana" and is sometimes personified by anorexics as a girl named 'Ana'.[1] The lesser-used term pro-mia refers likewise to bulimia nervosa[2] and is sometimes used interchangeably with pro-ana.

Pro-ana organizations differ widely in their stances. Most claim that they exist mainly as a non-judgemental environment for anorexics; a place to turn to, to discuss their illness, and to support those who choose to enter recovery. Others deny anorexia nervosa is a mental illness and claim instead that it is a "lifestyle choice" that should be respected by doctors and family.[1]

The scientific community recognises anorexia nervosa as a serious illness. Some research suggests anorexia nervosa has the highest rate of mortality of any psychological disorder.[3] from Wiki

Also Check my link above:
Pro Thinspiration Diet is decent guide to the Pro-Ana and Pro-Mia lifestyle as well as a detailed account of how to use Pro-Ana and Pro-Mia techniques to lose weight. It’s mostly applicable for Pro-Ana and Pro-Mia believers but it also serves as a good entry point for those who are new to the idea.

First I've heard of that term, as well. I've been out of the western world for many years now; don't keep up with western idioms.

I had an employee once who was anorexic. She couldn't see her body as it was - she said it was like looking into a funhouse fat mirror. She was bone-thin, ate nothing, and worked or worked out as long as she was awake. One sign of anorexia, which she had, was very fine hair growing on her arms. No, that's a nasty one, anorexia. An interesting aside here: the survivors of the extermination camps circa WWII were subjected to starvation for months. They've lived a long time - if I remember, it was a point in favor of calory restriction.
