"Unrelated to my Faith?" Say What?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

So is it ok, by your authority that I am going to drop by a pagoda during the Pchom Bun?

Satiated Parrot wrote:Dagenham - you occasionally provide nuggets of old (such as your opinion on Vietnam), but most of the time, your posts suggest you're a bitter old lunatic. Remember your obsession with cambod over on k440? That was really fucking weird.

More of the good posts and less of the angry nonsense, I say.

Gotta keep things lively, Mate. All my posts have nuggets (and boulders) of sage wisdom (and even some humour too)...try reading more slowly...

the cambod obsession thing was just an elaborate hoax obviously...we are mates now anyway...

You're not a missionary and/or a Christian too? Hope not...

If you are calling and accusing and trying to figure out a fellow's poster personal life is humor, which is what you did and it werent true; and if it is what you still call humor, I might have to learn the contemporary British humor all over again.

Look, you can write passable English (a very liberal brush I'm painting with here) - just click on the Wiki link that I provided and all your questions shall be answered...

And it aint his personal life at all that I am addressing - it's the opposite - it's his life interacting with the "public" that is of concern...

If what I wrote are incomprehensible to you and to the others; try to read between the lines.

You know whats your problem is Degnham, you exploit what others (sincerely) shares and use it as an attack. To prove what? Only god knows.

I appreciate you studying my prose..thanks for organizing the posts...when I read them (and others too no doubt) there is sense there...when you and your mate Jacob (gotta love that name) read them it's "da voice of da devil his self"...

The Harvard Crimson paper is also the tool of the devil as well apparently - being greatly alarmed by the Church of God's goon squads running amok and hassling students there. All lies of course, eh Stroppy? Those damn media types and substandard universities...like Harvard...

I am actually a "Closet Satanist" - true - 666 is all over my life. Or is it 999? I always confuse the two...I was sent by my horned winged master down there in barbeque land due south of here to haunt the true believers - the angels - Stroppy and his dear sweet Jacob...

So is another missionary named "Noah" going to chime in soon?
Seriously, what is going on with you? You can't quite keep your vomit contained, eh? I mean you have got bucket loads strewed everywhere. As you've mentioned already, I'm one of those Christians too and yes I'm here to help. But I left my fatigues at home. I didn't come here to smear Jesus everywhere but I am here to try my best to lend a hand. Is it quite possible that there are some people who would like to break out of their mold a bit and look beyond themselves? I'm not perfect in that regard, but I'm trying. There are plenty of those types here. They've made tremendous sacrifice to be here and none of it is threatening. Are there folks here that are doing what you've described, sure. But please don't put everyone in that bucket. No one deserves that. Maybe try and understand that not everyone here is looking to hook up, bar hop or get high. But hey, I wouldn't force Jesus down their throats either!

Excellent point. As I have stated a few time before there are many types of Christians. The ones that I am actively criticizing are the ones who are "commanded" primarily to convert (as in the Church of Christ and other Christian-based cults).

If someone is truly a "laissez-faire" variety of Christian and not prosthelytize then I think no one has issues with that - whatever they are doing here. It's the missionaries specifically that are the most troublesome and unfairly try to convert the locals to their faith. Many others share my disgust and revulsion for them.
