The weak points of Cambodians

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Eeewww, Samouth, you should probably be aware that very few foreigners would post that they liked that movie, it is regarded as super-slushy and weak now.

Ali Mcgraw was criticised for being a little 'ahem' too liberal with sexual favours, and the movie ended up becoming unpopular. Good movie to take a woman to on a date though

I those pictures I only hope the money is being spent on acquiring good teachers that can motivate the kids into learning.
the best teacher in the world won't have much impact with their heads baking in the sun. At LEAST throw up a big tarp or one of them palm frond roofs. Gotta wonder how many of them are learning on a near empty belly too.

I'd suggest short stories. Or Mark Twain, even. Key would be something without too dated an English. I like Tarzan stuff or Jonathan Carter on Mars but dang, that' some impossible stuff for the here and now. Like George Ade, whose beautifully precise and playful writing I love, but most would not even get thru the second page. Same goes for some of the modern stuff where they go on for pages without hardly saying anything with substance.

Yeah, Mark Twain would be good.

I recall a case of a dsmall NGO wanting to build a school near Phnom Penh, and they didn't get around to it because the village headman was demanding $1000 to give them permission. Odious fucker.

Most also won't say "Eeewww" as it gives little girls a new insult - "You sound like vlad," for example.

I love it actually. I can't really remember the contend of the story, as i learned it long time ago. I love the characteristics of the characters in that story.

Love Story, the film, is just like one long Khmer music video clip; they should show it on the buses instead of Rambo movies.
"Weak " point of Cambodians : hopelessly sentimental about love and romance, particularly when it's over-the-top tragic.

Right. This is really sad. I was hoping that they would have live together until they both grow old.
