And while I wouldn't care, I could definitely see the older generations in my family not liking me dating a black woman. I know they would just blame it on the era I which they grew up when blacks had to use different restrooms and go to different schools, but I'd still call them plain racist.

It's crazy to think the US went from separate facilities/lines/seats for blacks to "you can't call them midgets, they're little people" in a span of about 50 years.

No excuse for old, racist folks, but they grew up in a different world that I can't even imagine.

When I told a man ( barang) that I've boyfriend, first question he asked me is if he is Khmer or barang? I might be a bit picky, but if I chose someone I'll look at his heart, not his skin or his past. But honestly I like my bf's eyes.
