just give it some time, after all the only reason for staying on 440 was because it was the only established forum for expats in cambo.General Mackevili wrote:I think CEO will just have to wait until he proves to each and every K440 member that he's not someone you want controlling and having full access to ANY online platform you use a lot.

I generally enjoy reading your posts. But this is not a nice thing to say. Khmers are generally very open and humble when it comes to learning.Drifter wrote:...survive in places like cambodia teaching engrish to retarded khmer students.

He is probably completely unaware that his bad taste and lack of a wardrobe, has caused several of the expat community to fall out, and an outpouring of supremacist views.Drifter wrote: the guy with the SS tshirt would probably just laugh it off without giving a single fuck.

there's another option nobody discussed, he could be a police informer or an NGO guy, keeping an eye on the foreign weirdos and dressing that way to attract the attentions of a specific bunch of people.UKJ wrote:He is probably completely unaware that his bad taste and lack of a wardrobe, has caused several of the expat community to fall out, and an outpouring of supremacist views. :DDrifter wrote: the guy with the SS tshirt would probably just laugh it off without giving a single fuck.

So, just because you think their education is not up to standards to that of the Chinese and Vietnamese therefore they are retarded? Here is a journal just recently written by a student of mine:
TOPIC 4: Most people say education very important for one’s future. What do they mean by this? And what does education mean to you?
In my own point of view, education means like a self-enlightening which mainly provides people with knowledge of a particular area as well as equips people extra with some general knowledge about the world. Thus, it is crucial to get to know about the importance of education due to its overall development of both every citizen and the society at large.
To start with, formal education is conducted in schools while some other forms of knowledge are learnt from social or home environment. Apparently, the school years are the grounding years of one's education. Schools and teachers play a key role in developing children into responsible citizens and good human beings. Moreover, it is at school that young talented people are recognized and nurtured. After leaving school, we all enter the real world of life. Even though we leave school or graduate from high school, our education will never end as knowledge of the world is everywhere and we will learn and gain this knowledge from our experience through the rest of our lives.
The most importantly, education provides us with knowledge about a particular area of expertise. This expertise is essentially needed in preparing students for their future careers. Since expertise is an in-depth knowledge about a specific field, it opens doors to brilliant job opportunities. Additionally, good education always proves to be appreciated by employers. We are weighed in the business market on the basis of our educational skills and on how well we can apply them in our practical tasks.
Besides, education helps build students’ character. From early age at school, we are all taught what the right behaviour and good manners are. It is also the basis of culture and civilization. Furthermore, education is used to develop one’s values and virtues. It also fosters principles of morality, equality and socialism within a particular society. To some extent, to say that good education makes people more human is acceptable. Admittedly, people with higher education are more respectable to the community.
Education cultivates us into mature individuals. By being educated, we have self-confidence and abilities to think critically as well as analyse and judge things precisely and accurately. Also, it gives us an insight into living, and teaches us to learn from our experience. Therefore, we are capable of planning for the future, and taking the right decisions in life.
Last but not least, since education leads people to enlightenment, it means also building the foundation of a stronger nation with social development and national economic growth. Education is the backbone of a society because it is needed for the advancement and enrichment of that society. In today's competitive world, it wise to realize the importance of education for the development of society as a whole. As a result of education, a country's literate population is its asset. The future of a nation is safe in the hands of the educated.
In short, every country all over the world should not neglect the importance of education for their citizens because of its numerous advantages that will have a great impact on not only individual but also a nation’s growth and development. Hence, I think it is logical for many famous people to mention that education is an investment in human capital. We should applaud education for everyone in the world!
