it's human nature, in an online environment it's just more obvious than when dealing face to face because of the anonymity factor.

moderators tend share many of the features of Histrionic and Narcissistic disorders and they're often not aware of this.
apart rare cases, if they're full of shit online you can bet they're full of shit even offline, just with a different flavour.

we should never take any shit from moderators because users' content is the product and the only reason to join a forum.
the forum itself is just a platform for the content and users interaction, mods are just an optional thing apart in places where there are serious issues with spam and trolls.

but spam and trolls are the unavoidable consequence of anonymity, take anonymity out and the spam goes near zero as we can see in FB groups where people write with their real names, of course there are pros and cons in both cases and there are good reasons to stick with anonymous boards rather than airing your dirty laundry in public.

as a practical example of this, the 440 fools who are known to hang at that shitty bar in 110 were discussing about that australian fool with the SS t-shirt who is known to drink next door to the Cadillac which is just 150 meters away from their bar in 110 .. the bar in 110 is also owned by JM who openly takes pride of his jewish roots and talks in support of genetic studies who supposedly show the superiority of the jewish race.

and yet, can't they just walk 2 minutes to the Cadillac and deal the matter face to face ? oh noes .. it must be first debated online for 20 pages of rants and raves.

it would be funny if the t-shirt guys discovers that somebody posted his photo on K440 and that there's a jewish conspiracy against him asking for him to be banned from bars in the riverside ... really the whole story is so ridicolous sad and pathetic and typical of 440 and of in general of the expats in cambodia, 440 is merely the tip of the iceberg, you read the same shit on FB and on blogs.

I have been amazed at the change in people, over the years, when they reach the heady heights of success in life - being a third world forum mod! I'd hate to give these people any real responsibility.
