Sorry my 'far worse' was in reference to being in front of police or having strange comments or something. My point being, many have had their laundry washed on here for things less than pedophilia, so if it was pedoohilia, it seems logical to conclude no identity protection.

I just looked at his post history over the few weeks and saw nothing that would warrant him being banned. Can someone give an example of a coded post he made about pedophilia? I never noticed that.

Can you please indulge me for a moment to point out that you are confusing the word Pedophilia (a condition and not a crime) with the words Child Sexual Abuse (obviously a disgraceful act)
No one gets arrested for Pedophilia. There are openly vocal pedophile groups like Virtuous pedophiles that claim they are non offending. People get arrested because of an action, not a sexual preference.
Not all men are rapists even with a sexual attraction to women. In the same way, any other person with any other kind of 'philia' can still exhibit and practice self control and not commit any offense against another human. (or animal or inanimate object)
Not every pedophile is a child abuser, and not every child abuser is a pedophile.
Pedophilia is an exclusive and sustained attraction to prepubescent children. People that are attracted to adolescents have Ephebophilia and are not pedophiles either.
If you do some research, you can see that there are a lot of child sexual crimes that are not committed by Pedophiles; they are crimes of opportunity, by people who will take advantage of anyone. They are not specific to children.
Anyhow, I wanted to point out that you cannot be arrested for Pedophilia, because the condition rests in someones head, and further to that, they didn't choose to be that way.

This thread has, quite predictably, turned into a-free-for-all of speculation, conspiracy, rumor and hear-say.
As an outsider who doesn't know any of you personally, let alone the guy in question, and someone who just uses this forum to keep up to date with the latest (proper news worthy) goings on, interspersed with an occasional opinionated comment as I see fit, I don't really get what all the fuss is about.
You all seem to me to me like lots of gossiping granny's whispering over the garden fence. It's a bit like someone saying "I have some really juicy gossip...but I can't say...". It inevitably results in people making up their own version of events, with very little, if any, factual evidence.
It would have been better to have just to have banned him and not mention it.
Just my two-cents worth.

What are you on about? Jamie has just provided an example...one I now recall (before it was deleted) which was odd/strange/unsound to say the least.
So he's making the distinction that paedophilia is a condition where you have sexual feelings towards children but there's no crime in that unless one carries it out and actually abuses?? So what is his intent in pushing such a message?? That it's OK/nothing wrong to have sexual feelings towards children?
Save me!! As the General said, do we really want these types of people on the forum pushing these type of agendas?

Forgive me. I only read the first three or so pages before it stopped making any sense. It seemed to me that you'd have to be 'in the clique' of the forum to fully understand what was being said. Hence the generalisation. But I'm sure it's a general conclusion that most non-regulars would arrive at.
