7 reasons why I am finished with Khmer440 for good this time
Re: 7 reasons why I am finished with Kh440 for good this time
I said don't post on that forum. I never said I haven't read it or I don't like it or won't ever post there in the future. I have read some threads there, mostly because some people PM'ed me links to a thread there that used my username. I'm not one for inter-forum rivalry nonsense.Parker wrote:You formed your opinion quick considering this post was only from a short time ago!

Haha, Cambod. That silly old fucker. Key word there being "did," which is not ironically PAST TENSE.Parker wrote:
A poster called Cambod sure did like K440,one of their top poster! Is he part of Playboy's gang?
I believe it's fair to say I put my money where my mouth was and voluntarily left the "Cabal" even after being offered a Mod position, never looking back.
Just felt it was time to move on to something new.

Great observation, and I think we agree on this wholeheartedly.Rutiger wrote:If such valued input inevitably comes with an expected dose of annoyed condescension, then I think people quickly tune out, especially newer posters.nemo wrote:Perhaps no one is asking questions worthy of their input.
I know Mr. Bingham has made it his business to know the architecture and history of the country in this last century and frequently makes contributions.
Mr Phukhet also actively contributes photographic journals of his travels in Burma.
The CEO Team has made great efforts, especially recently, to eliminate negativity, flaming, etc.
We don't want that shit on here, and there is another place where people can go if they want that.
I appreciate members who have made an effort to cut down on the petty bickering and who don't take it personally when we've told them to knock it off.
It's no secret that we rely on fellow members to help report shit that the forum would be better off without, even if it doesn't involve them. Again, it's everyone's forum, and if you have ideas to improve things, we welcome the feedback, always considering it and often acting on it. If you see name calling or whatever, help us out and use the report function.
And as always, a special thanks to all members who take the time to start new topics, which can and do lead to interesting discussions all the time.

I believe it's fair to say I put my money where my mouth was and voluntarily left the "Cabal" even after being offered a Mod position, never looking back.

he might have been silly ( old??)
but he sure loved pizza

Rutiger wrote:If that's the case, and I do hope it is, then why aren't they posting more of their contemporary and historical knowledge here? We need more content from such posters you describe. Reader numbers are way up the past month, judging by how many people are currently online, but the posting contibutions and new threads still come from only a tiny percentage of the readership.nemo wrote:The best of the posters from the old days are mostly members here now.
Some of them have a wealth of contemporary and historic knowledge.
Speaking of Khmer440 losing mega posters and "intellectuals," looks like they just lost another big one today.General Mackevili wrote:Haha, Cambod. That silly old fucker. Key word there being "did," which is not ironically PAST TENSE.Parker wrote:
