Let me explain very clearly in two words why we elected Donald Trump as President.

He is just sowing the seeds of discontent as an insurance policy. This way the minority of Americans who actually chose Trump will be entitled to foist their views on the majority of Americans that did not vote for Trump. He also has claimed falsely that "millions of people" voted illegally and robbed him of a majority of the popular vote. Trump repeated this debunked claim in a meeting with members of Congress in 2017, and in a speech in April 2018.

Trump is not the first President who did not win the election based on the number of votes received and likely will not be the last. It is a ridiculous system that allows the loser to win but it is the law of the land and I am cognizant of the Republican Party's fear of majority rule.

Those set on seeing a US president behind bars seem certain to get what they want.
But it won't be Trump.
