Mad, Idiot Honesty - A Very Brief History
Honesty is dumb and the damage done is punishable by society:
Watching 'Our Idiot Brother' (2011), (as well as having a good laugh) we learn that honesty is for low-intelligence, drug-taking hippies. Honesty is simply unsophisticated, and as harmful to society as hostile intelligence. The same dissuasive message has appeared all over the world throughout history. Dostoevsky's 'The Idiot' (1868) informs us about honest fools, and a careful reading of Plato tells us that Socrates was an idiot because he refused to play the idiot.
The only known cures for this disease are hemlock, gag orders and criminalisation.
Honesty regarding the 'unwritten rules' is climbing aboad 'The Ship of Fools' -it's insane because it exposes conspiracy:
Viewing Pinter's 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' we learn that people who break society's rule are mad and must be sidelined into silent, ineffective lives. Experts agree that ECT works, and lobotomy is even better (anyone for oysters?) When, the brutality of high society is exposed it must be something abnormal that is reacted to massively. We must pretend that it's not the everyday product of an alegal system.
High society is highly conspiratorial.
Zizek shows us with his latest rebel-article that he's back from playing the idiot:

And yes Professor I do believe in both Father Christmas and Democracy, because even irrational beliefs are very powerful.

Instead of watching movies, maybe hop in a taxi and find that embassy.

Russian Today said what? If you're commenting on Zizek's article then perhaps read it first, and then find something to comment on

Read it. To paraphrase Lenin, fodder for the useful idiots so the ruler can better take advantage of them.britscienceteacher wrote:Russian Today said what? If you're commenting on Zizek's article then perhaps read it first, and then find something to comment on
