Re: LADYBABY
Just downloaded some of their songs. Don't play it under 120 decibels - absolutely great !
Re: LADYBABY
Looks to me (at my advanced age) like just a bunch of pre-teens jumping around to a music track. No one fronting with instruments and lots of electronic filtering. Music companies exec's probably thought this one up and are laughing all the way to the bank. Well, to each his/her own. One man's junk, is another man's gold.
BTW/ I'm headed to OZ in Nov. to see AC/DC and for the second year, the Byron Bay Blues Fest. in March to see some real talent. (Gypsy Kings blew the roof off of the fest last year.)

Re: LADYBABY
Ahh - another puritan. Electronic filtering is standard for at least 20 years now. It's just about the music and nothing else. Either one likes it or not - it doesn't matter how it got created.
Re: LADYBABY
Maybe it does't matter to you how it's made, but I for one am passionate about music and it's very hard for me to listen to something like Babymetal or Ladything. No instruments, no song writing, no composing, and very little relative talent. Yes, it's mixed and mastered well, yes it's catchy, yes it's immensely popular, no I can't stand it.
I know that everything can be capitalized on and be made popular, but to say that music is just music and not there for anything else, that's a bit of an oversight to what many people love about music. Some of us actually like a musician who can actually play a musical instrument and sign without a processor.

What's the world coming to when you can not hire a hit man cause someone pissed you off?

Well, then probably this one is the right thing for you:

Actually, I'm one of those "weird" musicians that doesn't mind the enhancement of the artist, as long as the artist themselves has something to contribute besides a few dance moves or a pretty face. You don't have to just have a guitar and mic, although when it comes to respect, guys like the artist above (I hadn't heard of him) and many other musicians who can pack a concert hall strictly because of their own talent, they're the ones I have the most for.

If your old like me you remember "The Monkeys." It was a put up job done by front office exec's and none of them could hardly play anything at first. Nothing seems to change with this current group of no talent pre-teeny-boppers..
BTW/ Do you know who the warm up band was for the first Monkeys tour?
It was Jimi Hendrix.(Played 8 of the scheduled 29 tour dates) Talk about pearls before swine. The crowds didn't know what to make of him when they came to the hear lip-syncing Monkeys.

Re: LADYBABY
I don't mind anything as long as it's not rap. How anyone can listen to this is beyond me. The guy in the clip is rapping in a mental institution - at least he's in the right place. I suspect the actions of the inmates were caused by his vocals. His "rantin" starts around 1.30 after a tour of the mental institution!Advocatus Diaboli wrote:Ahh - another puritan. Warning this video could cause serious mental health issues. Extreme caution is advised!
