Re: Have you seen a UFO?
Curiously, a set of words, now placed together, take on a much greater meaning.
The term UFO stems from a definition by the US military, but initially its meaning was exactly what Xandreu and Jerry Atrick allude to- it’s just an object that is currently not yet identified.
So, an Object, Flying, unidentified. No idea what it is. UFO. There should be no need to immediately jump to the conclusion that it is extraterrestrial alien in nature. That’s just imagination, (No real problem with that) but UFO has evolved and been adopted to mean much more, almost to the exclusion of the original intent.
With the amount of junk and failed equipment that humanity has discarded in space, it’s no big surprise that bits end up in farmers fields looking like something from a Ridley Scott movie. Now, if it were still wriggling and performing like something from Cronenberg’s imagination, then I might be a bit curious about its origin. As it is, having a few kilos of space fried satellite components dropping on one’s head is of concern. Curiously, it doesn’t happen sufficiently often.

There are things even the American government admits it cannot identify.
They should log into CEO, they will have it all worked out in seconds. It's just space junk, you guys!

UFO’s, ghosts, Loch Ness monsters, Bigfoot and all the rest, figments of peoples imaginations, fueled by wishful thinking, mental illness and intoxicants/hallucinogenics.
A couple of decades with hundreds of millions of people, all with high definition cameras at hand and not one clear, convincing photograph or any proven physical evidence of any of them.

Oh, come on. After travelling hundreds of millions of miles in ancient technology far superior to our own current technology, don’t you think they’d have cloaking devices, and jump capability to outsmart the primitive apes here?Chad Sexington wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 4:10 pm UFO’s, ghosts, Loch Ness monsters, Bigfoot and all the rest, figments of peoples imaginations, fueled by wishful thinking, mental illness and intoxicants/hallucinogenics.

I’ve watched lots of sci-fi movies. I know what I’m talking about.

I’d love to see the silver one trying to walk, or change gears on that flying saucer with those handsBig Daikon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 6:35 pmTotally agree.Freightdog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 4:15 pmOh, come on.
